So another update... a few weeks late.
The insurance company insisted on fixing the truck. They had it completely stripped down inside. only the steering column remained. They sent it off to be cleaned and ozoned. When it came back to the body shop it smelled like Ozone and smoke. It was terrible and my insurance company FINALLY totaled it on New Years Eve.

Of course I am getting thoroughly screwed on everything I had done to it even though I had receipts for EVERYTHING. I have been in contact with a lawyer as well so even though the truck is gone, this mess is far from over.

UGH... at least I have another truck and things are back to normal that way.

I actually filed a complaint with the Department of Insurance over a month ago.

That sucks man. Are you out the money that the shop has into tearing the interior out also?

nope. that is the insurance companies deal. I am out an Amp however. Since it was deemed as the cause of the accident, AmFam won't pay for it. The stereo shop is going to try and get one from Rockford Fosgate since mine was apparently out of warranty.
