So how many miles you got on your 900?

just put mine away after a decent season. sad to say the wife got the last ride in while i was at work. at this point in time it has 4300 on a stock 05 crank and pistons but soon work will be started :face-icon-small-hap

Nice to see some high-mileage 9s out there... haha :beer;

I'll give another report on my total mileage once I finish my season:face-icon-small-hap:clock:

miles

Wow, I can't beleive it! I started the season last November with 909 miles on my 2005 900. That is what I bought it with last May. I hadn't even looked at the miles lately but I checked last weekend after a ride and it has over 1700 now!! I would have never thought I put so many miles on it just this season. I'm going out at least one more time this season too...probably this weekend. I would have gone over Easter weekend but my entire group went abalone diving in Fort Bragg. :face-icon-small-win

Pretty unreliable sled really, mine only has 3,195 miles as of the first ride this year.

How many miles do your unreliable P.O.S. sleds have?:face-icon-small-hap:face-icon-small-hap

I wish I knew...
I just bought mine and the spedo says 3022,but it doesn't work.:face-icon-small-sho
For those who bought their sleds used like I did the hours would be a more accurate way to check when compared to a sled with known mileage.
How many hours do your sleds have? Mine has 183 hours.

o6 144 switchback over 5000 never been apart and only 3 belts. I'm 250 lbs and run and jump the hell out of this thing. This fall going for 4 stroke just tired of 2 strokes want something different but no complaints.

Well, my second year on the 900 is officially one for the books.

3,987 miles... SOOO CLOSE to my goal of 4K it's almost a tragedy, but it was a great day with good friends and the sled ran good, now for a little maintenance over the long summer.

Can't beat a 32 mile day on July 2nd

:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

My Sledding season lasted for: 231 Days, 9 Hours

6136 miles - stock - broke an exhaust guillotine this past Feb. The tip slipped into the cylinder and cought the piston. Had to replace that cylinder and upgraded to 06 pistons - first time the engine's been opened up. The crosshatching was still visible in both cylinders - look like it could have went another 6K!

The one in my gargae now... that I got for $800 locally... has the original motor and pistons in it... at 4,800 miles... cheap because of the low compression (but still running)

It did get the SLP clutch kit, gearing, updates, console and other vents , proper/regular maint and redline racing oil since new.

Sure some broken parts along the way and some trick parts... but overall this sled was great for the owner in his backcountry adventures.

She'll be getting the motor gone thru by Indy Specialties, some new plastic and other goodies hanging in the garage and put back into service as my back-up.

Well this past season was a pretty small one for the 900... I put a little under 300 miles on it this season and a little over 600 miles on my 09 700. It was a pretty weird snow year and I was having a lot of fun going light with the 700. Next year I will try to ride the 900 more, it still has lots of life left in it.:D:D

Currently has 4,262 miles on it:face-icon-small-coo

Polaris 900

Just bought another 06 from the original owner.
The mag side rod broke after 11800 miles on the original motor.
I also have another 06 that I am rebuilding, not because it blew up
but because I put a turbo on it after 8000 miles.

My 2005 Fusion 900's have 140 miles even and 160 miles even. Basically brand new. I just picked them up from their original owner for a ridiculously cheap price a couple weeks ago. The guy rode them for one weekend, then broke his leg on the ice the following week while going into work. All the updates and recalls are complete and they were sold/serviced locally by a reputable dealer.

Have an 05 RMK 900 with 107 Miles Really!

This is true, I bought the seld in Feb 2010 with only 103 miles on it from a guy in Bellvue WA, was his son in laws that moved to florida after he bought it had only been out once. Got the sled shipped to ND and it was what he said it was like brand new only 103 miles on it, checked it over made sure the updates were done on it ran great. I took it out for the first time and did not seem right had buddy ride it that rides a fusion 900 and it locked up solid at 107 miles had to do bottom to top rebuild, had IndyDan do me a crank and case with the extra bearings put in pistons in cuz people told me that the 05 pistons were junk. Anyway did not have any snow in ND worth riding last winter so I never even took it out last winter, been pulling on the rope every now and then just to keep things from going to crap again! True story!

Put 06 pistons in 06 with 1200 miles on it around 5k on motor. Did clutching myself and pulls like a mule. I like rufflin the feathers on the news one still. Old Iron ooooooohrawwwwwww.
