So how many miles you got on your 900?

An update on mine

I bought it with 2,074 miles from my dealer after a complete rebuild including 06 crank, pistons, stator, and 1 jug.

Now up to just a few under 3,600 miles with only a couple minor problems along the way. Just had the driveshaft and chaincase bearings done last week as preventative maintenance and i have the jackshaft bearing sitting on the shelf to do this summer if not sooner. New motor mounts are on their way as I am still getting a lot more belt heat than last year, Otherwise she's running good (knock on wood) lol:D

Bought my stock 05' with about 1500 miles on it and it has about 2,400 trail miles on it now with a dynoport can, custom intake (Thanks guido), Couple of vents and some other necessities under the hood. No rebuilds and nothing has gone wrong. It has only over heated a few times but all it needed was a 5-10 minute rest on the side of the trail. Anyways, it only over heated in very poor conditions.

Just bought a second one that has 2500 miles on it and is still going stong too.

lol i can tell you not very well.... poor guy i bought it off of felt bad $700. i think if they were installed correctly he would have gotten many many more miles.

Runs great

05 Fusion has 4200 miles on it and running great....I bought it from a sled mechanic who replaced intake boots, no big motor work to speak of.
I am getting some tell tale signs of wear and tear.... most likely motor mounts affecting belt deflection.... I have a loud slap on clutch engagement when I hit the throttle and notice belt is getting hotter than usual.
I will be doing many updates/ mods this summer to see how much weight I can drop from this beast and keep it in good running condition.

Unreliable? Sounds like a good reason to SnowCheck.

So I was on a site called SnowCheckDirect (Google it) and looking at the Polaris 900. Reading this thread made me think I shouldn't get one, but then I heard that when you Snow Check you get a 4 year warranty on your sled? Anyone have experience with this? I think I'm gonna do it, but I am here for everyone's advice.

The site is really cool if you haven't seen it already.

900

I bought mine with 3500 miles from a fellow snowester who said he just replaced the crank bearings for maintenance and said it had never been rebuilt. I rode it 50 miles before it spun a ring and ruined a piston/cylinder. I replaced both pistons one jug and renicked the other jug. That was 1500+ miles ago.
