Pretty unreliable sled really;);):D So far mine has 3,195 miles as of the first ride this year.

How many miles do your "unreliable, P.O.S." sleds have?:face-icon-small-hap:D:face-icon-small-hap

somewhere between 1000 and 1500 but I didn't get to ride it at all last year. What I want to know is how many miles are people getting on the engines before rebuilding them?

3600+ on my 700.
Only major work was a new pistons before last season (3000 miles) due to a faulty oiler cable the previous owner never saw/repaired.
Runs reliable and has the torque of a tractor. :D

enigine 1 instaled and tuned buy factory retards 428 miles =BANG, BIG BANG. $-3000.00+

engine 2 I installed and tuned 1200+ miles and counting

my 05 had 2000 on it before i built the 975 and it was still running strong with 06 pistons put in at 1700 just to be safe.

my brothers had 3500 on his 06 before the rebuild and it was still running fine but crank run out was .006 so he just put new crank and cases in it to be safe. still have the old crank and case.

my 05 900 had about 1100 on it and the original owner was blowing belts (before updates were done) and had crank replaced from being out of spec, new crank and 06 pistons/updates...been going strong since WITH nitrous (cause i tuned it right when i got it at 1800miles) now its on to the next owners sled and he should be good to go for another 1000 before a new top end is considered. and the 975 with TM3 is fresh, and should last a while ;)

my 06 900 mileage is somewhere around 2000miles, gauges were removed, crank is near perfect spec, however a new stator/flywheel was installed (becuase dealer damaged them during inspection)

wifes 06 700 has 2500miles, had 1 top end at unknown mileage, crank runout hasnt been checked yet, i will get to it when i get to installing the electric start kit after xmas. but has been excellent and i know we have lots of life in the old girl, will do fresh top end next summer...

yep, so looks like we all have JUNK 700/900s..should have known this...i might as well keep modding them cause they arent worth it ;)

around 5600miles rebuilt at 5000 about. it had been rebuilt before pretty sure the crank too. only reason i rebuilt top end was cause it over heated.

My buds 05 9 had 3200 before we put new 06 pistons and rings in, last Sept. Stator took a crap at the end of this past winter, and halfway through the 08-09 season the relay driver in the ecu went out.

1700 no new parts yet! Getting new motor mounts and torque and push arm, also v force reeds, plus reed boots...

mine had 5500 miles befor it split the 05 piston in 2 stupid me had the 06's on my bench and said ill do that in the summer :pound:
put 2 cylinders in it just cause it was apart and needed 1 anyways orignal crank and cases runout still good

900

2400 miles just motor mounts. Dont want to know crank run out just going to ride the **** out of it till it blows. Then fix. pulls like a horse still. bring on the snow so i can beat it more

1800 miles. 2 cranks, 1 clutch, 4 motor mounts, 1 tps, 2 shocks, and finally 1 sucker who wanted to buy it.

The sled has exactly 2585 orginal miles on it and about 140hours. And still running stong.

Its a late model 2006 though. So I'm not very worried.

The motor blows when it blows
I just hope I will not be far from the car when it happens :face-icon-small-ton

3000 miles:
1 complete engine @ 1000 miles (dropped mag skirt)
top end rebuild @ 2200 miles (mag side squeaked)
