Any truth to what I've heard is a new owner or 1/2 owner of Snowy Mountain Lodge? Apparently they're also supposed to get a liquor license as of July 1st? A gal in our club has been checking with them about a group trip out there so wondering if any one has more info.

Sorry if this has been posted before but I didn't see anything in the last two pages of topics.

Don't know about new owner. I was up at the lodge earlier this summer and when a business advertises it hours on a sign make damm sure you follow those hours!! And for the hag "possibly the manager" working, change your ways and attitude!!!

Yep, I second that!

i sure like having the place there, but never did feel welcome in there
like they're doing me a favor to have me in
food was good, coffee was ok, service... well... nothing to brag about

Your just pizzed cause you couldn't drink you drink.
I thought the brown chunky chit made pretty patterns in our drinks.:D
If they were to stop clearing the road from the turn around to the lodge parking would be totally hosed.

From what understand the state trails program will not be paying him to plow, so it will be all at his expence. For the last couple of years they have given him some ridiculous amount to plow passed the turn around. A friend works for state trails!

Was the state paying him because a groomer was based there? I wonder if they are going to groom out of there again this year or if they are moving to a different location? Any info on that wyogeorge?

They won't have the new lots open by riding season so I hope they keep plowing the road. Otherwise the nasty parking problem just a 10X worse.

It's gonna be hard to get anybody to stay at their lodge if there's no plowed road to it, don't you think? Maybe this'll be another example of their apparent desire to not have any snowmobile customers there.

Doubt it - that place has been open for a long time with no plowed access - it has only been plowed the last few years.

Moutain Meadow does not have plowed access either, so I don't think it matters.

X2!!! stayed their a few time when the Mountain Meadow Cabin's were full.

And getting gas was a PITA, have to go into the store after sitting out by the pump waiting for someone to come out.

Then they act p!ssy for you wanting gas..

Allthough we ran out of beer on our last night(which is never a good thing). The cleaning lady was cleaning out a cabin next to us. And brought us a 12 pack that someone had left.

Friendly is the sh*t

No liquor license is just another excuse to stay where people appreciate your business. ie: THE FRIENDLY-----See we can all learn something from Obama, start P.R. early and stay with it.

I don't know who your friend is but the state has never payed him to plow. The state payed part of his electrical bill when the groomer was plugged in to his outlet.

did he ever get the actual check? the gov't commits to many things but delivers on very few

.

Having worked for the state I can tell you that the payroll system can work very slowly but I haven't ever heard or seen of someone not receiving payment that was owed. This doesn't exactly answer your question because I don't know if he did; however I would presume that he did.

Funny? Dave always goes out of his way to tell me how much it costs him to clean the road so he can bend over backwards to sell us $5 gas. Maybe he was just trying to sell me a blind horse.
