Snow Eliminators--review time!!

RideCO, I used a 4 inch grinder with a cutting wheel to cut the teeth out of 1/2 by 1/4 6011 alum stock. Took an hour or so. Really pretty simple to fab up once i puzzled out the design. Second one only took a few hours to make. 175 amp Mig welder does passable welds, but does take some experience. Weight 20 OZ for the pair. Had them in deep pow the other day and it was so nice :) The pow coating makes a lot of dif. and I'd do it on all the alum elims. Goodings perf. in Ft. Collins did the pow coating for 38 bucks.

You told us the cost for the powder coating, but what is the cost of the
"bushy boards":beer;:beer;

I've got the better boards on both of our sleds for this season, my only regrets is that I didn't have them on for last year....

I like mine only problem is when your carving real hard in the deep stuff the snow pushes threw them and pushes your feet but it would help if i weighted more then 140Lbs prolly

Put some miles on the Nytro boards this weekend! AWESOME! This is the new #1 sled that benefits from them (close second for the RAW IQ, IQ, and the always slick M series). True and legit added strength...perfect traction...snow fell right through these coated ones! Nytro is a pretty darn cool sled! I was impressed for a stocker.

It was kind of cool to get to ride a bunch of different sled models and feel the different types of boards that we make. WORK WORK WORK

those are pretty sweet f bomb but are u gonna offer a set for other sleds that have the fish bone style

what brand or style works best on rev chassis?

what if you just cut the sht out of the running boards? same diff?

Installed the JVS Snow Eliminators on my 04 REV----had to cut the forward grippers down so my boots cleared the toe strap which I also raised for more clearance. Otherwise a much needed addition:beer;

Oh, its alot easier to cut them down BEFORE you doo the install:(

I want to thank F-Bomb for the great service. He is really easy to work with. My boards look great and I can't wait to try them out in the deep. The only problem that I noticed is that I think that I will need to up my bars because they were already bit on the low side. I forgot the added height of the Better Boards. Thanks again Rob!

Design #2 on the Ski Doo XP's are in my hand (and WOO LOOKS GOOD). I have to fit them on a prototype and make sure they are perfect before we press the go button. There is no room for error with this design. I have a bunch of back orders on those! Same super light flexible running boards as the NYTRO. They do clear snow better though. I think these will be as functional with the much added strength factor. The redesigned BETTER BOARDS for 04 and 05-07 REV's are on the next batch finally (I was not happy with the first design batch...they fit fine and would work but my design was too similar to the competition and I thought that they looked like we sacreficed the design too make it easy. I gobbled down a $1000 in wasted aluminum which sucked but it was clearly my fault! The factory boards didn't blend well astetically and it looked less then professional. I don't want my brand on that look. So if at all possible with the design we've tried to go the extra mile and make them not only function better but also LOOK "better" installed. I'll be the first to admit that we are way behind on these (I wish it was November) but the simple fact is that we are doing the best that we can. Also note the zx and s are going out daily. So yes we are missing out on massive sales (of course a bunch of guys are on the order list so eventually we'll process them) but I'm really wanting to have the best product in a very competitive market. The other guys are marketing on price...I'm more worried about function and quality. So time will tell!@

That is great that you are putting out the product you are proud to have associated with your name!! Quto's to ya for doing it your way--and glad to hear you are working on the Doo's. Have to pass the word when you have them done to the general populis.

Keep em coming---This idea is GREAT!!

H20SKE...

WINK WINK

Please post a picture of the SE for Nytro that you bought. Love to see them!

Im going to take some pictures next time out rob! the snow build up on a stock m7 verses my better boards was amazing. 3 feet of fluff and no snow on my boards. (yea im on a polaris but still)
the boys that rode my sled yesterday kept saying how nice it was that my boards were nice and clean, and how much traction and stable the sled felt when they werent slipping around. Its amazing how different you can ride the sled when your not slipping up and down the running board. I would say it added at least 5mph to my ride out (you know you always had to go slow on the way out cause the footwells are full of snow and your too lazy to clean off the board), not to mention how fast i can move around and find traction on the boards when carving through the trees and sidehilling. I had no idea how much this product would affect my riding.

It's a happy day at the Better Boards factory! THE XP FITS AND IS GONNA LOOK AND FUNCTION TO BE EXCELLENT. I'm sure the XP owners will get the same level of satisfaction as Phatty has with the IQ RAWS. When the NYTRO (they are rolling out today through Friday finally) guys get theirs installed and on the snow it's gonna be another wildly appreciated product. We are cutting, bending, powdercoating, and packaging in a furious fashion.

Phatty my boy...I'm glad you are happy. It's also refreshing to hear more confirmation of what I've been saying all along. (FYI guys this dude really rides!) So his endorsement (UNPAID) is PLATINUM!

Phatty, Beckstrom took a few sets home and I owe him some more but I didn't bring enough with me in the trailer that day in McCall. He told me about your stunt riding! I forgot to warn you about massive hp and the IQ RAW's tendency to wheelie like mad! I think the RMSHA Hillclimb world is gonna like these on the improvers and maybe mods. I believe I see the solid possibilities of BETTER BOARDS winning at JACKSON this year.
