I have better boards but haven't rode with them yet.

They made the chassis a lot more rigid in my opinion from just standing on them in the garage.

The only con I see with them is there is no turning back once they are installed. It's not like you can reverse it.

i have some and love them. first thing i did to the new iq. but i was wondering, is there ever an issue with the holes being too big? thus causing snow to come up through the holes and cause drag? especially on a long, hard, deep side hill? just a thought.

p.v.

Who has got snow eliminators and gotten to ride with them?

What is your experiance with them? How do you like them?

I put some on my RT and after just one ride, I love them. Why don't the manufacturers do something like this?? They have gotten better on running board design, but no where close to these. And the boards are stronger.

What are your pro's and/or con's??

H20SKE...

Con....they don't come in pink. ;)

Ya, i thought about the drag thing too, so i made mine mostly underfoot. That's the only area that bugs me alot and I would think it makes some difference. How much? I might play with attaching some plastic louvers that fold up when your boards are packing pow, but rebound down to let snow through.

They make you a better rider.. I jumped on my buddys sled without them and spent most of my time trying not to fall off the boards!! The m series cats need them bad,I used top have 3 inches of ice/snow on my boards all the time and spent any time stopped, kicking snow.LOVE THEM!

I have the plastic ones from fast lane on the M8 and I like them alot better as snow just does'nt stay on them... ever
needless to say I like them alot and will not-not have them on my sled[/QUOTE]

100% agree the plastic ones rock. I have seen all brands in action by far the best.

Like mine. Pull up by my buddy while he is beating the snow and ice off his boards, I point out how nice and clean mine are:D

sno-eliminators or better boards

So, which is the better product, I have had sno-eliminators on an M-7 & they worked great. I also have a new Dragon comming that will need some. The question is which one to I go with? I have never seen the "better boards" to compare the two.

I like the ones I put on my sled...they sure help at keeping the snow off and also stiffen up the running boards. I don't think I would be without them also...they are a big improvement indeed.
My friends also put them on their Arcitc Cat 1M's and they think they are great too.

How are these on your boots? After a bunch of miles on them, are your boots chewed up at all? My Klims are ruined after a season on my summit running boards.

So far so good but I know the Klim Radium has a pretty soft sole on them. I had a pair too and loved the boots but the running boards do chew them up a bit.
All the edges on the tips of the eliminators are rounded over so it isn't as bad a sharp edge.
Hope that helps.

RideCO, I used a 4 inch grinder with a cutting wheel to cut the teeth out of 1/2 by 1/4 6011 alum stock. Took an hour or so. Really pretty simple to fab up once i puzzled out the design. Second one only took a few hours to make. 175 amp Mig welder does passable welds, but does take some experience. Weight 20 OZ for the pair. Had them in deep pow the other day and it was so nice :) The pow coating makes a lot of dif. and I'd do it on all the alum elims. Goodings perf. in Ft. Collins did the pow coating for 38 bucks.
