Skinny Board options are not good

So we have around 9 guys just today so far that seem to be interested. I think that's enough to justify making a jig BMFab! I'm sure there are a lot of other guys that will be interested too. Lets start working on this. Once I have my sled in hand this week I'll be able to do some measurements up front. Wyoboy or others here can prob help you out even quicker with what you need unless you have a test dummy in front of you.

awesome to have bm to work with!!! now to get someone to make a flatter side panel with the pointy spots flat more like the m this will help suck in the part that drags in the snow.

Not an issue when you put the right boards on

Similar to what Wyo did with the pro boards; extend the outer tube more forward and angle the loop forward. So the two meet/attach closure the back of the footwell. Narrow the font up a bit and angle up slightly (as wyo drew) and I think you'd have a hot product.

Basically what we were thinking to do. Probably keep the stock length on them or close anyways but run the outer rail farther forward and in. Foot well hoop will tie in farthest forward possible and not be any wider than the outer rail up front. Board will have the footwell hoop integrated. We will have to find another sled to use, we won't be able to get to them until after haydays. Hopefully knock them out in a few weeks once we start.

You would sell that many instantly if the price isn't way high.

1 more thing,

You will definitely want to put an outer edge on it, not a round tube. Even if you attach a piece of vertical strap.

Maybe, what would be the need for that? we'd like to keep the price reasonable.

Wouldn't be worried trying to sell 10-12. The demand is there just in this thread today. I'll pay right now if I have to. All the info I think you need has been posted. Flat Stock might work well for the outer edge, but might not weld up to connecting tubing as well. I'd take round outer tube if that's what you have to do. Just seems you minimally get it wider with using tube on the outer edge

If they'll sell we'll build them. Numbers may seem low but we build all of our products in house ourselves so an initial run of 10 to 15 would be a good start. I will need to find a PC that someone wants to bring over to use for fitment. We're all a little partial to the polaris so we don't have one in house.

pm'ed you

This is awesome - BM Fab, count me in - I'd pony up the cash right now as well for a set on my '14. sh!t, I'd bring my sled to MN to be the guinea pig if I still lived in eastern SD. CO, thanks for getting the thread started. The ideas sound great.

I know my foot slipped numerous times last year on the outer edge of the stock boards (obviously these are worse than all the aftermarket ones) and I still have a nice scar on my shin from one of the instances. Definitely need something more aggressive.

The round pipes suck IMO, I've tried to ride them on other sleds and never felt confident at all foot kept wanting to slide off or back. I personally think a jagged flat bar that is maybe raised a bit higher then the rest of the board or angle board up like WYO would be the best... I have rode the round pipe boards on Pro's they keep the snow cleaned out a lot better then stock boards but I would never trade them for the stock Pro boards.

I've never felt that, not saying it's not true though. Proper traction screw placement would take care of any of those issues in my opinion.

I have never slipped off tube style boards with traction screws. Traction screws work very well IMO. Like BMfab said proper screw placement is key. I've had tube style boards on M's, pro rmk, and proclimb
