I really liked the DESS system for years. Pull the tether, nobody is stealing your sled. But it was also a pain in the butt. 3 sleds, three tethers, have to all be on the right sled. Last year was kinda a relief. One tether on the jacket, it will start.

I always just put a colored zip tie on the tether that was the same color as the sled. Took the guess work out. Hope they get the DESS supply issues worked out. Definitely peace of mind when you're parking in a populated area.

when we pick up the sleds from the dealer we have the dealer program all of the tethers to each of the sleds we ride with. It does not matter which of the 4 sleds have which tether, plus we carry two extra's that will work on any of them. You can program multiple tethers to one sled.

We do that with customers who own multiple SeaDoos.

Exactly, that’s why I’m wondering about the 2022’s. The DESS is in the ECM.

That's what my friends and I do is just have all 3 sleds programmed the same and carry an extra key.

Depends on which motor your talking about.

From the 2022 to 2023 The 850 NA motor is still at 165 hp so No for the NA motor
The 2023 850 Turbo R was bumped up to 180 hp from the 2022 850 turbo 165hp

I’ll be set with the factory bump of 15hp and my usual must have which is an iBackshift clutch kit. If/when BRP bumps it to 200 I’ll trade up as I figure that’s going to be the trajectory for the hp wars.
