Important Ski-Doo announces DELAYS in 2023 Delivery...

Just curious why wouldn’t they match
they didn't last year and i believe it was pretty much all 850's and maybe all e-tecs. my numbers were off by a few points and had to bring the sled back the day after pickup so they could hook it up to buds to correct it. fortunately it only takes a few minutes but it was frustrating that i had to hear about it first online and then the dealer was like "oh yeah, we knew about that".

Here is a thought. It would be nice if the manufacturers would extend the warranty on your old sled until your snowcheck arrived, assuming you are a faithful repeat buyer. Would be a great campaign to target customers that would otherwise be seeing their warranty run out on their current ride. They know which sleds are going to lose warranty this fall and would just have to match them up with snowcheck orders. Even if it is a small number who benefit, it would be great for PR.

Ic you think that would have been the first thing they would do to them after set up

they didn't know to check it, that was the problem and i'm thinking that's not a normal part of PDI. BRP realized after sleds were being delivered that the two numbers were mismatched from the factory and then sent out a bulletin. the muskoka freerider dude's new 850 turbo went down and the dealer sent the entire engine back to brp. apparently he never found out what was wrong but it could have easily been from lack of oil.

What did you hear about the oil pump and fuel pump voltage changes?

I don’t know a lot about it, could be BS but it came from my dealers mechanic.

Something about going from a variable voltage to a constant voltage due to the chip shortage.

All three of ours matched, we checked them when they were programming them before taking them to my shop to build. As I recall there was a sticker that was hard to see, and writing on them with a pen that verified it.

yeah the factory writes on the oil pump what it's number is.

Warranty period does not start until sled is warranty registered, which should not be until it is ready for customer pick-up.

I am are not talking about the start of the warranty for your new sled but rather a PR move to cover warranty of your old sled for those few who woould qualify. Read it again.

Re-tooled?
Have they even re-tooled for the G5's?

Skidoo made all of their g4 sleds first because they machines have to have some changes for the new chassis. This machine change is called retooling. I assume they have retooled because they started producing sleds in June. Found this pic on another forum mid August.
