Silvertip's Playground (Highway 80/20/89/49)

Rode Today with King O Hill

I had a GREAT ride today with King out of Cisco. I don't think he well every want to ride with me again. I must have been STUCK ten times today. We didn't get 300 ft off the groomed trail and I was stuck and that was the way the day went for me. Now with that out of the way. We did 48 miles of some of the best boondocking I've done in a while. We covered lots of ground today. On the South side of Sand Ridge I seen King do the best tail walk on a hard wind packed vertical drift. It was great.

What am I coming home to for conditions... down low... in the Alpine???

Hi Eric,
Most of the snow is gone here at my place. Still looks to be close to 2 ft @ Willow Valley Rd and Hi way 20. But it is going fast around here. Low to mid 60s the last two days. The snow up high is set up on all but the high North slopes.

A Trip To The South Side Of I-80

We rode the South side of 80 on Monday. The snow was good in the morning but by afternoon it was very wet and heavy. With all the snow down low got into some areas that I've want to ride for years. Had a great time and only got my nose sunburned. :) It was a good weekend of riding.

Veiw South of I-80 (bad stitch job) :(

Man...I can't tell for sure where that pic is of the Buttes. Is it right around the corner from Glacier and the Hour Glass?

Man that place sure is tracked up, I was there on sat and the chitter did not have any tracks on . We were the first tracks there. We went through fall creek and then Went through the lookout chute and then to the Sanford chute. Then went over to cave lake and climbed out. It was a great day, never made it out to glacier. The snow was rediculous how much traction there was. I finally got to go through the look out chute which i have never been through. YESSSSSSSS

What A Weekend

I had a great weekend of riding with AO, Shane, Jessie, The Guys from Team Summit and friends from Washington. It was nice to meet all the new peep. Everyone knows how BAD i am with names so I will let some one else tell who all was here. I got to see some of the most off the hook hill climbing i've every seen. I hope Jlowe will have a little teaser for everyone.
Alan (Big Kahuna) and Jlowe were the only ones to stay and ride today and IMHO it was one great day of riding and climbing. I hope everyone will come back and ride with me again. It was GREAT

John-
Great pics as usual. In your first pic you are on Pheonix lake. We climbed out of the Fordyce river and dropped in directly across from you guys in that pic. I've wanted to do it for years and finally found the stupidity to do so. The real scary part about it is....if you don't pull it....there is no turn around. Just straight back down into the river (totaled sled).

Hey...what are you doing in my chute on Sanford.
I sure hope Anthony pulled it. Hell...its been done on stock sleds.

When you are on the south/east side of Colbertson...you will see some tracks in a narrow chute to the east. Lets just say, my buddy found some ice at the top.

Anthony....Clint got his M1000/turbo. I rode it yesterday. INSANE! 10 lbs of boost and 320 h.p.

silvertip...THANK YOU for giving me THE absolute BEST day of snowmobiling i've ever experienced sunday. the saturday ride was a close second but the terrain you took us into sunday is still blowing my mind.

the hillclimb footage we captured is not only the best we ever filmed, its some of the best i've ever seen on ANY movie. Billygoat, BK, Snoboner, Jessy, AO and Shane have arrived as some of the best riders in the sled film biz.

and if the weekend couldn't get any better, we got to ride with three of the best riders anywhere from team thunderstruck. dan bush, mark mesenbrink and lyle sinden came down and ripped it up with us. all three had some crazy climbs over the weekend and it was awesome to share these two incredible days with guys like these.

again...thanks to everyone for a truly EPIC weekend. fans waiting for elevation 4 are going to FREAK when they see what was filmed this weekend. as john said...OF THE HOOK. lots of pics on the new teamsummit.net update later this week!!!

WOW! Thanks to the Nor Cal Posse for showin us around your neck of the woods! Those were 2 great days of riding. I would have never believed that day 2 could have been better than day 1, but "The Ride" on day 2 was as good as it gets! Jeff and I are already talking about our next trip back to those awesome mountains. It was great riding with all of you, and really cool to ride with the guys from Team Thunderstruck. Thanks to everyone for a great weekend, and im sure the swelling will go away any day now....... darn those pesky rocks!
