Silvertip's Playground 09

Great Pic everyone!!!!!!!!!!
I had a great time riding with everyone yesterday. We has King, Tabasco, Yoder, Visi, and Vance out there tearing it up for sure. A few problems but that the way sledding is.
Here is a Pic of the Marker Tree. The snow has gone from over 4 ft to between 2 1/2 to 3 ft in 2 days. But it has snowed up there again. I'm hoping for 2 ft of new. :D

Talk to Grant this evening and he is sore but doing better. Here is another view of Yoder's log. It was a HARD hit. Kings sled is on the left going past the log where I went though/over. :( Vance sled in the for-ground.

PS
I think I'm getting OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When we left Cisco. Debby the owner told me that is was zero (0). Cold I just need a long sleeve shirt and or coat at that temp. Above 32 I'm got to go.:p

KING! you're pics are rockin' the casba dude! i heard you had a tough day. pretty sure mine was worse. here's the reader's digest version:

jeff shows up at beasore road at 9am to film a commercial for the national parks system (setting: hispanic family playing in the snow, building snowman, stuff like that.)

talent and agency people are 2 hours late.

team summit riders launching sleds all around me tear off into the high country just as i begin to film commercial.

actors don't speak english...shoot takes forever.

finally, shoot is finished but actors and agency people all get stuck in snow. jeff wants to ride up and find his friends but stays to unstick 3 vehicles by himself.

jeff finally leaves staging area in search of team summit riders enjoying 3 feet of pow on top.

6 miles from staging area, jeff's nytro makes horrible sound and comes to a grinding halt.

jeff removes engine covers and reveals a chaincase that looks like someone planted a stick of C4 on to.

jeff eats sandwich and watches circling ravens for 1 hour hoping SOMEONE will come down the road.

dark clouds blow in...it gets ridiculously cold so jeff puts on helmet and begins to walk back to truck.

halfway down, jeff hears sounds of sleds coming down the hill. jeff is rescued by the brothers Dunbar.

jeff is hiked to truck and drives back up to where his C4ed sled is.

unable to put sled in trailer alone, jeff waits 2 more hours for the team summit guys to come down.

finally, the boys show up and the dead nytro is hoisted into trailer for the long ride home.

did i mention KING'S pics rock!!

looks like my chain loosened up a bit and snapped when i chopped it in a corner. new case cover and chain coming. hope that's all the damage.

jeff

Silvertip,

Give me a little photo sampler of what I'm missing... Good to talk with you yesterday..

Go get some for me.

Merry Christmas to all!!

Finally some decent snow for atleast a road ride. Even though we really couldn't get off the trail, it was fun to be out there. Hopefully by next weekend we are good to get on the hills. Conditions yesterday were real nice and snow wasn't bad. Temps were as low as -4 on the way over to LTS. Good way to start the season and can't wait for next weekend.

.....and oh yeah, the sled is stupid fast:)

J-Lowe... man am I sorry about that... fortunately I was able to at least ride out. I am hoping *wink wink* somebody has a hook-up with EZ-Ride and/or Fox to help me get on the road a little quicker!! Stating that...my BB rocked, OMG that power claw is the bomb and my shoulders and finger tips are feeling it! I appreciate the comments and feedback on the pix... I really enjoy having "siezed the moment" and people loading their brag boards up with those shots, and yeah the equipment is just phenomonal.... I have a new found appreciation for your "lugging" abilities though my lower back is feeling it after a couple of stucks LOL... I am sure the extra weight contributed to my shock breaking. Oh well I am still hoping to get down and get some CenCal shots soon as well as Jesse and Shane.... should make for some AWESOME drop sequences... until then hope to talk to you soon

King

At least you have your health? They rebuilt you !!!

Loving family , nice buds who help you out ...
and this wonderful forum to communicate your frustrations and share the grief.

Get the back up sled .... borrow a sled or fix the one you own and spank that snow for hurting your chain.

shred the gnar

King, Like you would say..."Those pics are off the hook!" I don't see any of Oberti?
Jlowe, Sry to here about your sled but glad you made it out before the birds ate you. lol...Good writing!
King, Thanx for stoppin by the other night, really enjoyed it.

Jeff sorry to hear about the sled that sucks. King knows all about that boy did he have a day. It is okay at least all this stuff is gettting worked out before the season is really going.

King the pics are great good work. You do have a reall knack for photo shots. If I would have know how good that camera was I would have had me, AO, and Matt kick the sh!t out of those Skido guys on the trail that had a problem with me stoping the trail for two whole min so you could get a shot of us coming down the trail....Next time we will just have to have a sign...LOL
