Silvertip's Playground 09

On Sat I rode with Bev and Eric out of Webber Lake. Our friend Charlie was at the closer sign and he let us park at his house. A big THANK YOU to Charlie for that. Saved us a mile of pavement. AO and Shane were there also. It was nice to see Shane back up and riding again. Sorry we missed Jessie and Isac. Talk to AO and sounded like they had a good ride also. We rode over to French Lake and back around to White Rock and had a great ride. A little bit of dirt on the way out the Meadow Lake Rd but not bad. We didn't have any going in to Jones Valley but it was very thin. With the heat we had Sunday and today it will have lots of bare ground now. Did 52 mi and had a great time.

We only seen a guy and gal @ Meadow Lake and we seen the sicks track climbing up the Black Buttes out of French. They had to of come in while we were @ Jones Valley play. No one else was at the staging area when we left. I think I know who it had to be but would not want to say till I find out.

On Sunday Eric and I rode over there. You know where that is don't you???
Another great day of riding. Still lots of snow if you can get to it. We rode in a little different way than I did on Thr. not as much dirt. Almost 45 miles again on Sunday. And didn't see a sole. The end of this yr. is going great for riding. :D

Great day for me to end the season. Spectacular scenery and good Boondocking with some good climbs in the trees. Thank you John for coming down to ride with me.

Awesome spring day in the Sierras.

DSK..

John.... sorry we missed you and the crew Saturday to know we were a hilltop apart argh... I heard you all had an awesome day as well.... I hope I can "borrow" some of your space here..... what an awesome day!

Well I got a rescue ride from the monster-in-law! Tony Sallaberry and Doug "Snowdevil" twisted my arm after helping tend to my wife for the last few good weeks of the year into one of the better rides I have had all year. A couple of good pokes to get the adrenaline flowing again and felt like a million bucks. We hit Castle, Paradise Valley, Devils Oven and various points in between. here are some shots and I even had a screamer pull.... the beat the chest pull :-) Thanks guys and I got to tell ya Dougs cat is HANDS DOWN the cleanest and most flawless turbo I have seen to date... I guess all the tinkering around with his experimental 1000 paid off.... nice machine Doug!

Well this was my sreamer pull doesn't look too steep but when you look at the other shots it was a tight one for sure.... the one to the right is Tony's pull and he started it out.... Dougs is below and had some serious gappers to jump to get to the top of Devils Oven.... then we were off !!!! Tony's line the "line engineer"....

I forgot to add just for the sake of painting a better picture (no punn in tended) this picture and the one of my line and Doug's line is comprised of 3 separate 10MB pictures stitched together vertically.... they were steep and long!

They wouldn't let me go back down to shoot the "chute" so crayons and lies have to do for now LOL

One More Ride

After riding Friday I was able to talk the crew into one more ride. We had very little dirt and lots of snow up high. We did meet two other riders up on top of Sand Ridge. The snow is getting very rough and sun cupped.

A few Pic from both days.

Very nice indeed.

Is this a "normal amount" of snow on the ground for this time of the year ???

Don,
It's about average where we're unloading, but up high I think it's above normal. But we will lose our access in a week or so.
