Silvertip's Playground 09

Nope, I think it is cool that someone climbed it. Actually think he took a better line than I did, don't have to worry about sidehilling over the rocks.

We have found some other chutes that are just as good, if not better than that chute. The other chutes are much better "filming" chutes than that one. Clints climb was awesome. I am super stoked for him...he has been beating himself up for a year after not climbing it last year. I have to admit...having a turbo really gives you some room for error. The problem is....you have to do stuff like this if you have one. I'm still stuggling with the risk versus reward.

Thanks for the props guys, I was pretty fired up to climb that sucker. There's not many hills left around castle that have never been climbed, so I'm pretty stoked to put that one under my belt! It was a tough call on the line to pick but I decided to go with the lesser of two evils I thought which was not to get hung out over the cliff to much in case of issues, but my line had it's own issues also mainly being the pretty good size wind drifts about 3/4 of the way up on out to the top which definately got the pucker factor way up there. Like Jason said theres a few more big ones to be had, let's get em!

By the way Jason the reward is well worth the risk if you can still ride smart, but you know that. Your just still in denial:D

....tell me about it. I found that out the hard way 2 weeks ago. There are some huge wind drifts in there that I could not see from the bottom of the hill. That dam hill is steep!!!

That is pretty cool. It looks like you made a couple passes at the bottom to get the perfect line.

I'm not sure who's tracks those were. He made a couple of loops to get a closer look...but there were a ton of tracks at the bottom when we got there. i just assumed they were AO's from last weekend.

The run at it was ok. I climbed to the right of where I wrecked last year....about 100-150ft to the right. Problem was about 3/4 of the way up it was icy and getting vertical. Launched straight up and stuck it about 20ft from the top. As for the turbo.........ummmmmmm.......pretty much the best thing I have ever rode:)

is that the pics on shanes myspace?? he's got some of you perched way up on a hill, cutin a rode out??

Clint finally got his sled back together with a 1200 in it. Today was the second break in ride. He wanted to climb a few easy:rolleyes: chutes until he gets it dialed for the big stuff. Here is a pic of one of the climbs...AO might recognize it :D

Wow, nice pull... if i remember right, that line was not possible last year... not enough snow!

By the way, whats the name of that lake?

We just had 170" of snow in 10 days... and now its concrete... lol gotta love the spring sun! Looking forward to my Cali-Tan riding!!!

Never Satisfied is ****in NUTS!

I saw the climbs out of Devils Oven on Monday. SICK doesn't describe it. It should end up on a video, if it does I want a copy! I've climbed and looked at that mountainside for many years and NEVER have seen marks anywhere near those. I want to meet this guy! I took pics, but they do NOT do justice to those climbs! KUDOS Clint!

Really?..... turned to concrete? Concrete by Utah standards or "Sierra cement" standards. Thinking of making the trek to SLC for better snow conditions versus spring conditions in Tahoe....

What do you think?....

Weekend of 25 & 26

I had two days of very good riding over the weekend.
Sat we rode above Cornish House and only had a little bare pavement and 100 ft of dirt. I rode with Bev and Chuck. We ran out of snow before getting to Jackson Mdw Lake.

On Sunday we rode out of LTS. I wanted to ride over there so I could go on over to Reno to see Queen. We rode the North side of the Fiberboard Rd and Haypress Mdw. Had way to much dirt the way we went in but none coming back out. With 12 to 18 inches of powder this area would be great riding.

Well, was in your guys's neck of the woods over the week of Easter. Thought it would be fun to bring along a sled and spend a day in the snow with my lil' California princess. We had a blast! Went up 108 just below Eagle Meadows. Have never ridden the area so we just found some ol' road and had at her. Didnt go very far as we were alone. Absolutely dont wanna break down in the backcountry alone with my 3 year old daughter. Regardless, just thought I would share... and dont laugh at the "Exciter", its the only one left running and the only one that fits in the back of my truck!:D
