What rain and i heard high 30's for the next week, not looking good. We are looking to head up from washington the 21st will someone give me some good news cause if the weather is gonna be like that, its not worth the drive.

Been raining and mild in the valley.
Seems the +0 valley temps. will last till after the weekend.
For the most part everyone stages from the bottom at Owl Head.
0 k on the road up starts off on ice & gravel for abit.
Parking for decks at 2.5 k. No chains?? Your call.

No worries...plenty of snowfall up top. Trails awesome.

For what its worth, we do have some cool air coming in, finally, -2 for the next couple of nights and still precip in the forecast as well. The rumour mill says theres lots of powder "up top" but then you know how the rumour mill goes around here! We're headed up to Blue tomorrow so will be able to let you know whats up up top! Sherm

Well I can't give you a glowing report but I can say we had a helluva day up the hill! Sunshine and about 6" to a foot of fresh stuff and spots we went were untracked and even a bit deeper in spots! We have some colder weather coming in and supposedly rain for the next 3 days, should be more fresh for you guys! Sherm

Thanks Sherm,

smokindave, we went back to Brown Pants, not a track, so had some fun in there. Some deep spots, the 2 strokes had to sidehill out but the Nytro went where it wanted! We then went over to the meadows just above 911 and to the east, again, no tracks and the drainages coming back up were awesome! Like most areas, if you can get back just a bit from the normal spots you can find some terrific snow. We took out a new fella to the area (and this kinda sledding!) so we tried to curb our usually sillyness but had a blast regardless! Snowing lightly as I type.........Sherm

Rode Owl's today, cloudy up high, but nice snow and visibility lower in and around the cabin and lakes, Morton was below the fog and had nice power, specially in the trees. Unloaded right in parking lot, but first couple of miles are VERY icey and you need scratchers, with exposed rocks,,, if you have chains you may choose to unload up the trail a bit,,, most were still parking in the lot, but after today's warm temps again there was about 30' of bare road at the bottom,, kinda ugly trail at bottom, but all in all still good riding IMO,,, When I stepped off the sled I went about knee deep pretty quick, it is a little bit heavy snow, but still fun to chew up,,, not many people, lots of untracked, nice warm temps when you stop for lunch,, definately worth riding if you are unsure of a trip,,, Eagle Landing does BKFast and offers trail lunch,,

PS, Thanks to Mac's Machine for help with a sled that had a couple broken parts (idler wheel bracket and carbides that were gone after our December ride).

rode eagles today, alot more fresh than owls the day before, sleds only sink down 10 inches or so but snow is over the knee's when you jump off, probed at over 8 ft at zig zag bowl, tons of fresh and lots of area's no ones even been this season, snow was starting to set up and it was pretty heavy pow.

Rode Eagles today, socked in and snowing when we went up water fall way,, went back and around the long way and it was better visibility and still lots of snow, not snowing as hard on that side. I agree with the previous poster that the snow is deeper and not as heavy at Eagles,,, trail is better at bottom then Owls too, but the last bit after the end of the grooming part is pretty ruff, as usual,, all good thou,, both ways in are easy to get thru.

Rode Sicamous for the first time this past weekend. Stayed up at Eagle Valley Lodge with Renee, Geoff and the boys from Team Frenchie. Fantastic weekend. Rode Eagles the first day and it was DEEP. A little sticky and wet, but still pretty nice. Rode Blue Lake the second day. Snow not as deep but sun was shining and we had a pretty good day too. Until about 3:00 when I blew the sled up.
The Lodge was great. Renee knows how to cater to sledders. And the crowd we stayed there with was a blast. We are already talking about going back in March when the French guys are back down there.

Epic Day at Eagles Pass!

Shreeded POW all day long at Eagles on Saturday! Ripped it up with Rene, Jason and Team Frenchie and had a wicked time. Snow was deep and the sun was shining! We ripped up doghouse and tore up piper lake and the surrounding hills, all untouched when we got in and destroyed when we left! Huge big pow lines and lots of natural features for jumping and dropping. epic! As always the atmosphere at the lodge was awsome and we were well looked after. I don't pack a camera but I am sure Rene will post some pics when he gets some time

Havin to hunt for pow the last few days but still finding it! I believe we are gonna get lots of precip starting Saturday. Had a great week riding Eagles and Golden, had a mountain goat watching us climb for about a half hour!
Also had a great party in Skidmark Joe's shop!
