What are the conditions like right now in Sicamous? Will there still be good snow to ride in after Christmas or will it be hard by then?

hmmm...let's look into the crystal ball.....that's kind of like asking if lake washington will freeze after christmas, or will it be beach weather...;)

FYI, we groomed Queest just a couple nights ago, Dwayne took the groomer right up to the towers, a good foot and a half of fresh and close to no sleds up top! No doubt Blue will be as good, all the trails are gonna be tweaked up this coming weekend! We're headed up somewhere this morning, will post results..............Sherm

I can help here since I live on lake WA. Zero chance of a freeze over and beach weather is offically gone until April.

You can take that to the bank. :)

Back to Sicamous. I was considering making the trip up and I've never been before so my question would be is there enough area up there to leave some untouched snow to ride in OR if there isnt any new snow will it get tracked all up by then and not worth the trip? Forecast looks pretty dry all over.

Thanks!

Went up Owls with a couple newbies yesterday and went over to Windy Ridge on Hunters. Awesome conditions and lots of pow untouched. Foot of fresh, 2-2.5 feet of pow in the trees. Wear a balaclava or you will be gettin frostbite, -22 Cecius at Windy yesterday. Cheers, Rene.

we were up there on tuesday very nippy, theres an inversion coming i hear, just looked at silver star web -1 at 430 pm -8 at home hmmm? see you all up top over the holidays as we will be riding daily.P.S. i heard the groomer at hunters made its first trip into the back cabin wed night.merry xmas everyone.

rode owls head on the 23. first guys through morton chute. then went back to windy ridge the only guys we seen all day were rene and the crew he was with. didnt think there was that much traffic up there until we got back to the cabin and there were 10 sleds sitting there. I love being a local :p snow conditions were exactly what rene said and it was sunny the whole morning then got a little overcast but still great visibility

Rode SugarLoaf yesterday, not another sled or track to be seen! A good foot to two feet of snow. The sun peeked through a couple of times but still excellent lighting condtions. And, it was a helluva lot warmer up top than it was in the valley! We cut the trail across the top and to the cabin, all by our lonesomes! The new turbo ran flawlessly, what a rocket! Sherm

Just got back from grooming Blue Lk, no new snow but appearenly still a few areas that have a minimal traffic. Sunshine and cool weather, if you know the areas there's still a few untracked bowls and areas to tear up. We're going to hit Eagles tomorrow, Blue, Eagles and Owlshead all groomed tonight! Sherm

Did it rain all the way up to the top? Trying to decide on coming up from WA tomorrow. Any updates? Heard a rumor its been raining in Sicamous.

IT Rained all right lol Albertans lol never came across so many
sledders with alberta plates on there flaps lost at Eagles in my 10 years of riding up there, stay away on weekends or holidays its a gong show.my opinion only.but our group of seven locals had an awsome day.

Hope this isnt what your referring to RMKER? :(

rode eagles on saturday.. was in about a foot of fresh. and broke the trail to dog house then my axel broke right at dog house. and spent from 9:30 till about 4:00 towing it out. would have been a good day. getting parts tomorrow and riding hard again this weekend
