SERVICE BULLETIN: Embedded Map GPS Download & Update Procedure for 10.25" Display

It is taking HOURS per map to download.
I have excellent signal strength, and one sled IS loading them, albeit crazy slow
The other just crashes each time and freezes.

This is SOOO odd.
To be fair mine failed or hung downloading the maps like 20 times. I had to park my truck right next to my shop where the wifi router, is keep the sled plugged in AND running. and it still took forever just to get the oregon and idaho maps.. its super slow. and I don't know why.

That’s amazing that you could load that much information in 3 minutes.I haven’t read anywhere on here that that has happened.I was at the dealers when they attempted to load these and the same long load .They tried to load with BUDS and it still took quite awhile .You are very fortunate

Maybe the problem is on BRP's side. All you guys trying to download from their site at once? They probably have a dialup modem in Quebec.

For those of you that plan on using the old USB port thats attached to the gauge, I recommend getting a second USB port to charge your phone. The gauge will wake your phone up and want the app to be open or you press use internal GPS. I had a USB port from my G4 that I found in my toolbox and Put it in my G5.

It took me three hours to update both my sleds. Only one worked when I was done and as soon as I restarted the sled it stopped working. They both say invalid GPS position.

I took the one that would not work for a 5 minute ride down the driveway and then let it set outside for another 5 before bringing it inside. The one that worked before I restarted it was inside the shop.

Doo should just give up and license the Poo gauge.

Like I have posted previously, swap shot start for the 7 s guage and everyone is happy. You can be a Poo & Doo and get along.

Poo 7s looks like it was something cool back in 2010. BRP 10,25" is a lot more modern. Poo buddy tracking doesnt work here in europe and their maps suck, brp has a lot better ones.

It is located behind the recoil panel.Take the panel off and it is just above the recoil handle.Don’t know which pins you jump.Loaded mine with a battery tender and made sure the guage didn’t cancel out

Did we confirm which pins and where? A picture would really help. I still have one sled that says it is updated to 3.0.1 but insists to continue to download and update the software. When it finishes the install, the screen goes dark to update the firmware (like my other sled did) but just goes back to normal startup.

Forcing the screen on may help before I load up and drive to the dealer next.

Thanks.

So I rode with mine updated including the Oregon maps ( both of them )

I left my phone unplugged on purpose. There is not a single snowmobile trail, or any trail whatsoever on them at all.

While it works and shows roads and like some points of interest type things... there is ZERO trails on it.

if I plug my phone in and use the brp go app, the trails are on there.

Whatever... the huge gauge is useless anyway just been using my trail tech for everything.

I am confused, is the sled being used for trail riding or mountain riding. There is no trails in the mountains where I am.

I thought the trails do not show up on the gauge until December 15?
