I did not sleep well last night after finding out about this incident.
Got me thinking about Dan's young family.
I feel very bad for them and know they must be going through a ton of hurt.
Please be careful out there!

Wow, very sad news indeed. I met and rode with him a couple of times, great guy and he has done Adobe of the best climbs I've seen. RIP.

No no no!!?? Dan is gone?? Never met him but loved him through the screen. Amazing driver and infectous good mood.

I haven't been on here in weeks until a friend just texted me the news....

Dan was a fellow Sledder, Christian, Legend, Pioneer, family man, friend to many, and an inspiration to many more. Dan knew there must be a Creator that built this wonderful winter wonder land we play in and with this belief is in a better place. This exceptional man is now living life where its blue bird everyday. Peace Brother

Done! Thank you Phatty for sharing this. As a side challenge, if someone puts together a tribute DVD Ill be the 1st to buy one as well if all proceeds go to his family and 10% to Avy awareness. Dan was as experienced as it gets, if it can happen to him, it can happen to any of us. PrayN4snow is now just "PrayN4peace for his family"

Dan was an awesome rider and personality, awe inspiring, you could see how much he loved our sport at the end of every climb with his enthusiasm and sence of accomplishment. I was bummed when he announced he was taking a break from the sport, and delighted when he soon returned. Sad day, he will be missed, condolences to the family and friends.
