Ridders needed

I'm in the same boat. My wife is an okay rider, but she is nervous going where I want to go because she's afraid to get stuck too often. We've been sledding since 2000 but it seems we go less and less every year. That needs to change!

I don't really like riding in large groups, but 4 people is about perfect. With a group of four is easy to keep track of everyone and you have enough muscle to yank stuck sleds out easily. If getting stuck wasn't such a big deal I know she'd enjoy going so much more and would get much better. If anyone wants to pair up this winter let us know. We primarily ride the I-90 corridor.

Coyote girl you hardly count as one of the "Timid girl riders"
I don't know many guys that can keep up with with you all day!:D

I feel like the fat kid at school... you know the one.... that no one wants to play with? :( ;)

So, ok guys, I'll put this out there. I was talking about doing the 1st Annual Ladies Ride in WA this year. You get your wives interested, I'll do it. I need committments. Thinking CleEllum or Gold Creek/ Stampede area for ease of use, trees for bad vis day, etc etc. This is not a training day, although the women will naturally learn from each other. This is what I've wanted to do with the Ladies Ride, start branching out to each state. :)

im starting early i know, but want to find some couples to ride w/ at gold creek and stampeed next season.i havent been getting my wife out often enough, and in an effort to keep the peace and clear my conscience, would like to find a couple(s) for ridding every 4-5 weeks.

i ride baker pretty much the whole season and its alittle much for her. and when i do take her up to gold creek or stampeed (just the two of us), im so bored because i cant do anything i want to do when its just the two of us.she see's this and it ruins the ride for her as well.we have had friends to ride w/in the past but all have either broken up or moved away.just looking to get her out more and meet some fellow snowesters....mm

Missy and I are always up to sled with new couples.....We've never been to Stampede or Gold Creek....Are there big, open play areas for Missy to practice in??

Ladies Training?

What is this ladies training day? My wife is moderately experienced and a great athlete so I think this kind of day would be great for her...that way she doesn't feel like I'm always telling her how to do it. Any info would be appreciated. Blewitt sounds great but how would they doo:D it in Cashmere? NO Snow?

Ladies ride ...??

We also love to ride .... not enough couples into sledding, would love to hook up with others that LOVE to ride long days. I haven't ever heard of 'the womans ride' before.... is this strictly all woman or are the significant others there, too, but just means a ride for 'all' that day, type of thing. Just curious. We live in Snohomish, but pretty much ride anywhere anytime! Want to find others that enjoy sledding!!!!!!!

PM me as well for the couples deal. We do Gold Creek quite a bit as well as some out of state/country couples trips.

There are 4 other couples we usually go with and yes the women do ride better when they compete with themselves

The one and only... lol... Annual Ladies Ride will hold it's 9th ride this coming February in Halfway, OR. It is ALL women for 2 days. Last year we had 34 women. Some travel with their s/o but once they get there, the men disappear. The information can be found here.

This year, if I get enough response, will be the first year to have one in Washington in addition to the Oregon ride. But like I said, I need to see the interest. :) ie pm me or email me at B's Email addy.

The ride in Oregon is a 2day'r (3 for some of us). The one in Washington will probably start out as a 1day'r. ALL day. :)

HAHA, well..... it is hard to disappear in such a small town, but some do a better job than others, that's for sure! ;)

Some drop their ladies off, meet up with other dudes and head to McCall. Others do stick around in town, but don't "come around" until time to go home.

Al, are you going to send your wife this year? :D

i'm with yamadog my wife would probably enjoy that kind of ride she knows how to ride just does,nt get out much

keep me posted on this

Either way....something I've thought would be cool for a very long time!
