Question: Worst sled you've ever owned?

95 670 Summit. It was like riding a 55 gal drum full of bricks. Only had it 1/2 the season and sold it and bought a 95 xlt sks. I have only owned 1 Ski Doo, after 30 years of riding. Please don't tell anyone I had a doo, I will deny it in court.

1996 powder extreme , had to clean the carbs once a month, it was so heavy i had to wear a backpack full of bricks to pull it onto one ski. It did teach me how to balance on a side hill.

Every year they run this thread and I will never get tired of saying it was my 97 xlt. Two cranks in three years, heavy as a sherman, no power and it only would go south when I was 600 miles from home. I spent enough in rentals to buy better sled. I should have left it untied on the trailer on the interstate and driven ahead of a mack truck. A friend has one with 8000 miles and never a problem, so go figure. A happy day was when a guy I let ride it for a day totaled it out. Went to another brand with a better dealer and happy so far.

I'm still on my first one, and have turned it into something I like, but the worst one we have had around, ever. Would be my dads 03 Rev 800, the one with the beaver tail. Did 3 motors in a month. Said DPM on the hood, but the sled didn't have it. (found out later) Jets were right, but in end right before we sold it, we found out the thing had 440 needles in it. And it was running crazy lean. The dealer, and another small engine mechanic all couldn't find the problem. But after we brought it back to them, asking for a free fit, after it blew, right after they fixed it, they wouldn't give us anything for it, nothing. So we were stuck with 3 top ends to pay for. Wasn't a very fun winter I must say.

Remember when the ZR 580 had a mid season release in the winter of 95/96? It was green and was the biggest POS I have ever owned. I got a Polaris a year later and never looked back.

'99 Yamaha Mountain Max 600. It never stranded me, but I broke the front track shock several times. It couldn't get out of its own way at elevation. Traded it in the next year and a buddy of mine bought it and it ended up breaking a piston and turning the whole engine into a paperweight.

I guess I got rid of it at the right time.

78/79 Kawasaki LTD 440, had it two years and only ONCE put it on the trailer under it's own power, almost gave up snowmobiling because of that pig, bought a new 84 Phazer and found out what it could be with out **%$# up a day of rideing.

you guys have some funny stories!

i,ve only been on sleds for 7 seasons now. i am on my 7th sled and it just happens to be the worst 1 yet, i never really had any problems till i bought my 08 d8 163. i am not exagerating when i tell you, it hasn't made it back to the truck on its own power since last season! its currently still in the shop, and has been for 3 weeks now. if you had asked me this question last year, i would've said my 91 prowler 440. wierd little sled with no front bumper, but at least it always ran. i need to buy back my edge that i sold last year!
