Question: Worst sled you've ever owned?

Man those were the days.... Talk about feeling like you pulled the pin on grenade every time you went out. LOL

My two biggest POS's ever hands were a 1990 Indy 650 and 1980 Centurion 500. Both were huge hunks of chit.

yea i would have to agree with the 650 being a bit harsh on pistons. but the biggest pos of all time was my 97 580 powder special.

Have to say it was a toss up between the indy 650 and the 94 v-max 600, The v-max was partly my fault for trying to make an xt into a mountain sled but it was still a turd, and after I was done with it it was a blown up longtracked turd, LOL.

05 RT, some work some dont, mine did not:confused:

I agree.... rode it two days 3 belts and no power took it back and the dealer gave me a Rev.

I ride a rt chassis now but slightly modded thanks to Carbondaddy.lol :beer;:beer;:beer;

99 powder special 700 shook so bad that parts fell off. Then I tried to make it better by adding a 156 track and a PSI 890 and it really got BAD! Never worked again.Cave

-'95 summit 583 f-chassis; good trail sled, lousy in deep snow. Prayed to Gawd every time I took it out that you WOULD NOT get stuck. Needed a D-8 Caterpillar to help you get it out.
-'86 Formula Plus. The 521 with 40mm Carbs was a rocket, but the chassis was ridiculously tippy. Like trying to balance on a tight rope sometimes.

1973 ski doo silver bullit--294 tnt--you couldnt tow it where my buddys 73 polaris tx would go--made me a poo guy for 27 years--he would break a track up a hill double and come back down and put my wife on and go back up with 3 on the sled :mad:and drop them at the top and come down and push the doo---man were the women pi$$ed :eek:setting at the top in the dark--made me a poo guy that nite for sure:D

Hands down 02 A/C Sno Pro 440, what a joke. Thing fell apart like no other & had terrible handling. Lost my azz on it also when sold it year later.

1973 Eltigre 400. You couldn't keep that thing together to save your life. Fun to ride, but not too reliable.

Probably my first sled, @ 82 Arctic Cat Jag 340 !!

It got me hooked on sledding but what a POS.
45 MPH tops on flat, perfectly groomed roads (Down hill)
3" of rear travel but only if all the bolts were loose!
challenging to go up a 10* hill with that metal cleated, channeled track.
It took four boys and an Army an hour, pulling on it to start it at any real elevation if I shut it off for a break or something.

Gawd I miss that sled!

For me its a tie, 91 Wildcat giant turd, wouldn't run, slobbery, ate clutch sheaves and bushings, I believe it was the only machine if you left it idling on the trail to take a whiz, when you came back it was in the ditch.
or, 96 Ultra, lead front end and ungodly finnicky. This machine actually caused me to buy a new jacket, with pockets on the sleeves for the jets and jet wrench. 3 or 4 times every day, pathetic. It ripped when it was spot on, but a bugger to keep it there when you made big elevation changes.

98 summit x. Ran like a raped ape, when running.:face-icon-small-fro Went through 3 motors in 1.5 years. Average belt life was 80 miles if you were lucky. Put it on its side once and spend the next 2 hours trying to get it started. After court, ended up with a 2000 700. Great sled for the time.
