Question: Worst sled you've ever owned?

05 900 rmk. I acutally had one of the sleds that didn't have any issues with vibration or crap falling apart. The power sucked and many i had problems with the air box setup.

97 ZR440. Thing went down at 18 miles. Melted down, the first day. New pistons and a few recall tweaks to get it back on snow. Had to replace all the suspension bolts with stronger bolts. New pistons every season. Skid shocks that barely made it though a single trip sometimes. Gearcase went cablaamo at about 1800 miles.

I rode so many rental sleds over a couple of seasons, that I could have had a job as a snowmobile review writer. That was actually the good thing about the sled, it was a decent ride for the time period.

'03 Summit 800.

Two pistons, one altitude sensor thingy, one exhaust can, one crank seal, one chain, one voltage regulator, one stator (took a half season to figure out..) The POS stopped after 1 hour of riding. MAN i got towed home many times that season.

And ofcourse, one exploding primary clutch.

Yeah, all in one season. Fixed it. Sold it. Never again.

Another 93 T-Cat here. Former drag sled bought used. "Detuned" for the trail. So loud it would deafen me after 15 minutes. Went like all he!! for about 600ft. Then it needed a piston, rings, a cylinder and gasket set. Ate chains, spit em out through the case, chewed tracks, seat was filled with ready mix, had the same bubblegum weld on the jackshaft bearing that was mentioned. Rear shocks couldn't handle anything bigger than a curb. Oh and it weighed close to 800 pounds.

Depends on what you are talking about

Reliability = 900 rmk Blew the motor a 428 miles
power = 07 phazer 80 worthless ponies
handling /suspension 98 summit hahahahahaha did it even have shocks or steering ?

well, we have had a 1992 phazer, a 2004 touring arctic cat 440, a 1998(or so) vmax, a 1999 xlt 600, a 2006 xcsp 500, and a 2009 rmk 600

The worst by far has to have been the 440. It was impossible to get to start(it was electric start too) and it had issues with the kill switch and just a pain in the *** overall.

The next worst was the vmax, it was heavy as all hell and it was a major gas hog, as well as not being real reliable...

91 Skidoo Plus X. Super fast on the trails but no rear travel (something like 6 inches), 1" track (and short), steel skis, fouled plugs, hard starting (stop pointed downhill, instant flood). Would get stuck in anything over 6" deep ... and NO FRONT BUMPER! :eek:
