Problem with Silber turbo kit thread number 2.

Post
Elevation
1500 - 4000ft
Fuel Mixture
Straight pump gas
Fuel Settings (each one)
Will do soon, need to write them down
Has it always done this or is this something new?
Do'nt really know, havent got to much riding time on it, so ill guess all the time
Rpm WOT?
Alittle low, im at about 7800-7900rpms
Do the RPM's spike early then come down if you pin it from a dead stop?
Yes, some
If they do how high do they show?
Goes up to max 8050 then down again to 7800-7900
Have you contacted Silber or are we on our own?
Yep have done that. Got a mail back, but I was supposed to check something then reply him, but i seem to have forgoten so thanks for the heads up, writing him back now.
If you have what has he had you check?
Will do

Yeeeeep....:tea:

You seem a bit low for pump gas. What elevation were you at? Ever look into av gas around your area to mix 50/50 pimp/av? Also do you have the ethanol plug in or non?

Have contacted most of the airports around me, but youll need a small plane to be able to buy. Very strickt rules here in Norway about that. But I havent given up on it yet.

Elevation is 1500-4000ft mostly riding at around 3000ft. Ethanol plug is in.

I don't ride an 2s turbo, but i know a thing or 2 about boost, here in Sweden we have as hard restrictions on 100LL as you, and racefuel isn't an option with our prices, so a octane booster that seems to work is Torco Accelerator, if you only need to get a couple of octane points on your Premium pump.
It's not comparable with true racefuel, not even 100LL in my opinion, but it gets the octane up a few points if needed.

I have been thinking about that, but from everyone ive heard from they all say "Dont work", "Like giving away your money", "what a waste". So i dont know what to think?

I agree, and according to tests most of them don't do anything, but Torco Accelerator "concentrated racefuel" have many believers, and i've seen test's proving it works and others don't, will search for it!
But best thing is to solve the problem so you don't need higher octane, i use Torco to feel safe, not all filling stations have good fuel.

I would also lower your green to 4. Ditto on the yellow. I would say your octane is an issue also with the low elevation you need to run some race gas.

Thanks for the tip, will try and find some and try it. Thanks! :)

An update! Filled the sled up with 50% 109 Sunoco GT+ today, and started my sled up to notice my a/f wideband was dead.... Totally black on idle and while reving it standing still. Took a drive and notoced the a/f reader turned on and of, after a while it started to work on idle and slow crusing, but when i started to rev it and drive faster it jump from going from 111 to 222 to 333, then starting again at 111, then so on. Tried to ride it alittle and had my fuel controller adjusted so i know it wasnt lean, but still hit dET while going from high cruise to WOT slowly. Race fuel didnt to anything and i still got the same problems. Any opinions?

Have you confirmed your airbox and airbox bolt are not hitting the bulkhead? I know its been mentioned but just grinding my bolt head was not enough...

Ok, also when I had my sled apart yesterday putting in the slp torque arm I noticed that my pipe heat shield was hitting on my front bumper support. Basically under the front of the pipe, wouldn't have noticed it had I not pulled my pipe. Pretty sure this normally wouldn't be a problem but my bumper support might be bent up a little :)
Just something else to check and I'm not even sure it would set det off. Did you ever adjust the yellow light like Boston Racing mentioned?

Here's a video of my problems, filmed it today. These are the things that happened during a 20min run. Last one is not dET but bogging.

Setting on the fuel controller is:

Green: 5
Yellow: 2.5
Red: 4
Green blue: 4
Yellow blue: 4
Red Blue: 5

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h660l5tqHcY&list=UUAs9eKxu9jDIsGEHl-sBvtw&index=1&feature=plcp

Raise your yellow to 4 or even 4.5 and lower your red blue to 4.5 to get your red fuel mode on a little faster. You still have a lean spot. You got one video where you say it works good and another where it doesnt. What changes where made between the two? Was it altitude ?

Did try to with yellow at 4 and 5, no difference.

Those videos are both from the same ride, the moments i hit dET was cut out and put into a own video just containing the dET moments, and the other video when it works was the rest of the ride. Nothing was changed during the ride. It just so strange, it rips sometimes, and other times it's a pain in the ***. Going to pull the kit of the sled this week to see if i can spot anything wrong, and im not sure it's going back on yet. Need a reliable sled.
