Post the Non-Ethanol Gas Stations

Unfortunately this is a federal mandate by the Bush administration. So the stations don't have choice, Jan. 1 it has to be blended E-10 at the refineries. I've been a fuel hauler for several years and have hoped this would never really come.

Google the harmfulness of ethanol. It is not recommended in small engines (snow blowers, lawn mowers), 2 cycle engines, or long term storage (generators in toy haulers, collector car), sta-bil is NOT advised ether.

In google search, I came across a representative from Oklahoma or Louisiana, he was putting forth legislation to allow each individual state to opt out of the mandate.

His suggestion is to hound your representatives on every level of gov on our disapproval of ethanol. It can't hurt!!!

^^ for sure ^^ ? The owner I talked to said that Utah is state mandated and he will hold out as long as possible ??

33rd

The Sinclair on 33rd and Main willl most likely not have any ethanol throughout this winter, I supply him with his fuel and he wants to keep clear gas this winter, it costs him a little more but if he sells more he won't change.

I talked with the Conoco on 90th south and 1300 West and they said they do not have ethanol for now. No stickers on any of the pumps either.

Apparently Conoco's in Utah county don't have ethanol unless otherwise specified.....I always check with the tenants to make sure.

Has my support. I filled a truck bed full of gas cans there this week.:face-icon-small-hap

Ogden Valley (Eden, Huntsville) The Maveric and Chevron are 10% ethanol.

cache valley

buy the tester, their only 20 bucks

anyway, conoco, sinclair, and phillips66 are clean in cache valley, but only in the preimum. chevron and texaco are the worst//almost 15%

I was told by the Phillips 66 in SG (last non ethanol in town) that as of Jan 1, all Utah would be Ethanol....state mandate.
Actually the station is in nearby Washington.

03' Firecat had the "Ethanol" switch you refer to

For now you will just have to start ponying up for some avgas or race to blend yourself. At least until manufacturers find a way to alter their engines to burn it. For some reason I think I recall seeing on a buddies firecat, a switch to change to ethanol settings. Maybe made some changes to the brainbox? Anyone seen that?

While we're discussing fuel quality, I wanted to ask what if any negatives there are associated with running the "oxygenated" AVGas from the airport? JED?
I believe it's 100 Octane?

Talked to the Jardine delivery rep on 12-21-10,he said all stations will have e10 fuel by 1-1-11. Tesoro is the only one that has elected to keep clear 91 at there stations at this point. Stay tuned for more info.

Not true "Bakin" I work with all the refineries, we will still be able to buy "clear" gas at Holly (phillips 66) Tesoro and Sinclair. I just got off the phone with Sinclair Corp. they do not have a specific date in 2011 that they will stop producing clear gas, it will be determined by usage. Eventually we wont have a choice but I still supply a couple that request conventional gas, its all about the price.

ALL Maveriks, and Chevrons have E-10! We supply Maveriks, and there fuel is blended at the refinery.
Have also seen reports recently that the Ethanol manufacturers are requesting the gov't raise the blend to 15%. They say they're struggling to make it with only 10%!
I hope they ALL shut down! Let em sell that crap to the liquor stores!:cheer2:

Glad to see many stations still have non-E10 in the pumps. Sinclairs sure have seen a lot of my credit card this year!

Smiths Market Place in Bountiful put the stickers on their pumps in the last two weeks. Looks like I'm driving to SLC for gas....

I got my alcohol test kit Friday. I tested slim olsons chevron in bountiful and it was at 10% exact. Lame.

Lemme know if you need me to test a station.

Test the Smiths in Bountiful if you would. They have the stickers on the pumps now, but that doesn't necessarily mean they have the ethanol in the gas yet.

Thanks!
