polaris tips

hyrflyr i am a picky rider. i ride hard in the trees and like my sleds to respond the best to my riding style. im sure you can understand that. too me, a 1m is the perfect chassis, the apex being next, and then the REV. i have yet to ride a nytro, but would love too.

To even be in the X games you have to be a skilled rider. It is just obivous that if the majority of these riders are choosing to ride the IQ chassis for competition over others, there must be something good about it.

Totally!

It was kinda surprising to see more IQRs then REV XPs during the X games..:D

So what your saying is that your 10 year old chassis design is perfect for your riding style..............sounds about right.

my iqr is definitely far away from being tipsy. i always no where i am with the stiff suspension. It has problems with low speeds in the powder, but if you keep your rpm's up and keep the sled moving. When you get it stuck, or goin low speeds it sucks. I just hit the hill with enough speed to keep it moving! its not a mountain sled, but i have rode in some deep stuff that i thought it wouldn't make it out of.

Oh didnt know that. I would keep it and just put a little money it and call it good.

ya i already got an 08rmk.. but im lookin tog e another led anyways to get rid of one of my older ones.. if i get somewhere i cant get on the iqr then im takin the yeti up it ( rmk) i want soethin i can really play on.. im already rallied around on one for a little bit and so far its one of the best handlin machines iv been on.. it doesnt feel as heavy as it is..

i was referring to the IQ, not the IQR. and i know what you mean bout the rpm, iv got a mountain cat thats more of a trail sled than powder sled that acts the same way. has a one44.

yeti- hendrix tonight

alright i came on here to get tips about sled choice.. i got advice from my main man billy chad and ryan.. thas about it the rest decided to get in a brawl over bashin eachothers preferences.. i thank who gave me the advice. but whoever else the thing says polaris tips? i dont wanna read 3 pages of bashin on a good rider whos only thing wrong is his preference.. i also text this guy and know what he has ridin so thats my best advice is from him. thanks billdozer. now for anyone else who actually wants to help me out and throw some sense in here theres a iq 6 in delta yeasr old new.. worth it..?? mostly goin to chad and ryan cause they ride em. but i know another guy whos ridin em and i know his stand..

iq 6? like a shift? or is it an IQR. how much is it? be sicc to get another one this year and start early on it

ps good lookin out on realizing that i was tryin to help ya out. yaddi

ya man no prob.. its just riders pref between us.. but its gonna be about 9 no iterest no pay till 6 months and the dude is gonna bring it up thiss next week when he comes to town if i want it.. waitin on chads opinion. he wanted to know what bottom it had in it.. bvut either way i think im doin it. i can get it tracked for about 600 and then pipe it il be good to go.. ride with ibb... hendrix tonight? i forgot bout that i told him i would go to the aces this mornin but it is the hendrix movie yadadamean. oh ya iqrr

IQrr for 9 thats not a bad deal. Didnt they go for 10 somethin new. That would be the easiest way to go if you want a pull and go sled. Race sleds are easy to convert to a everyday rider but a rr is already to go with a stock pipe, oil injection, airbox, headlights, tach, shock setup thats consumer friendly, etc, etc. I would lean in that direction and see where it takes you, if not then there is always race sleds for sale.

9 grand for a new one. that sounds legit, what track length you thinkin? i personally like the one44 for all aroundess. i can launch my mountain cat still and it holds its own in the "placer" type conditions, till i try climbing. chad, does a 16 wide fit in the IQR chassis? thatd be sweet to get a 16 wide under it then you could run a shorter track and still get a lil more float, on paper at least lol. hit me up later, im not sure what time the movie comes on. and i may be going to willow tomarow with you dad, not sure if your goin or not tho.. late

IBB yeee

I don't think the 16 would work. Poo has tunnels set up for 15 wide. Do you want me to bring the sled to put under your track for the tow out or can we just pull the belt and let the track turn on its own?

The stock weight on an 01/02 was 540 lbs. It's fairly easy to drop 65 lbs(which you can do for under a $1,000). But 90 lbs is going to be hard(Ti., drilling the bulkhead, ect.). The 1m's were lighter but you end up about the same weight in the end. If it's an 01/02 than the 10-tooth mod is the best change you can make to those sleds. Oh yeah, if you ride it hard, I guarantee your bulkhead is cracked around shock towers where the tie rod goes into the bulkhead. Might have it welded over the summer.

Edit: sorry for the hijack
