2023 9R down…

Well the injectors decided they didn’t want to play anymore. Really sucks. 303 miles.
Right now, I’m trying to get the warranty transferred to me which I thought just kept with the sled not the owner. I bought the sled in December was 77 miles. I also found out Polaris won’t warranty if you have a can, of course I didn’t know this and the previous owner didn’t have the stock one.
Pretty bummer day.
Alpine motor sports/Vohk in Kremmling is my dealer/ service go to. They are a couple weeks out to even look at it. I really don’t trust any other dealerships on the western slope of Colorado.

I hope everyone had a better riding Saturday than me! I know sleds can be temperamental and can be a PIA. Just wish I wasn’t driving 6 hours round trip to drop the sled off probably for a month during peak season.

Ignorant question but can’t you just replace the injectors? i just did the throttle cable and after pulling the fuel rail they were right there. seems like a days worth of work.

you should have just kept the sled with the prior owner. also per magnuson moss no way can polaris decline injector failure on a can

Not ignorant at all. Was not hoping to be out of pocket with getting it fixed because of having a warranty but that’s a way to get done quickly.

Good to hear about the can.

Yeah i wouldn’t wait on alpine tbh. Riding time is finite. No sense waiting on them for a month

Alpine got me in quick.. I did not miss any riding which I was thankful for.
Same injector went down again today, this time it lasted 130 ish miles. Pretty frustrated and bummed. It’s a bummer that Polaris has not done an update on the injectors or designed new ones. So I will do the 5 hour round trip again and see how long the injectors last.

and they are refusing to warranty injectors due to a can? or did alpine get it covered?

Is this a problem on all 9r or just certain years. ?
Alpine in Kremmling said I was the first 9R they had seen with bad injectors and then happened again. I pray it’s just some dumb luck with ****ty injectors but who knows. It definitely adds a challenge getting out of the back country. I was 30 miles from the truck.

That’s brutal from the dealer. I bought from a private sale, sled not from my dealer. Motor grenaded at 600 miles. New long block from my dealer no questions asked, same deal with aftermarket can and no stocker.

Maybe check with another (better) dealer.

All terrain and Karl Malone’s were definitely against helping me. Alpine/Vohk 1000% wanted to help me. Doing the round trip to Kremmling tomorrow.
