polaris tips

lookin to get a shorty to rally around on for winters like this.. thinkin bout the polaris RR.. wanna know thoughts on it.. or does polaris make better for just jumpin around boondockin?

boondockin sleds are long tracked..
your choices are pro X or IQR.
or REV 440
or sno pro 440..
get an F7... i know for a fact that youve seen enough chris burandt video to know this.

sat on it.. im sure it jumps well. if thats what your into.
why not take that sled and put a one59? it would be more fun. long tracks just as good, you just have to hit bigger jumps to get the track off the ground.
yeti should keep the summit X or use the XCSP to make a mod sled to jump around on

A 159 on that would be interesting.
I was impressed with what the IQ was doing in the steep n deep
The summit x and the XCSP cant hold candle next to the IQ for what Yeti wants it for.

whats he want it for? boondocking? last time i checked boondocking was climbin through the trees in deep snow. whats the point of building a sled, then making it a shorty. marks a good rider, but hes not a cliff dropper or ramp girl. hes seen me jump a onefiftyones all day long, its not hard. id rather a sled that can climb to the top on the first run, and then be able to drop off what he just climbed. it suprised me when i heard yall were building a mod sled after all the talk i heard bout how mods never run and would never own one.. tricky guys.
im not so much arquing the IQr im arquing the use of it. and why spend money on a sled that wont get used to its full potential.
like buying a 8 sec car for drivin on the street??? its cool to have but how often do u drive where u can do 200+mph? when does yeti hit hundred foot drops and kickers? stick with mountain sleds, thats all im saying.
as for the mod portion, youll have guys like IQRIDR to help you tune and what not, which is a big help. but i know how you guys like to ride and you arent the type to wanna stop and work on something. yall been towin me out for years when i was riding doo. stick with a stock polaris or cat and never look back.
ps theres no replacement for displacement, except for super light weight or boost. turbo the yeti monster or strip the rest of the weight off it, u wont be unhappy.

ya im not gonna build an intense mod.. i watched a stock iq 6 make it up to the top of turnigain. on a 121 i think it was.. i also heard talk of a 700 racer from polaris.. thatd be a nice move there.. maybe track it up alittle.. dont really feel like a 121.. and everyone wants a 8 sec car they can drive on the street.

Did any one else notice that nearly every sled that made it to the finals in the X games was an IQR. I think that says something. If I were to get another sled I would love to get one of those.

the rider makes the difference. i honestly dont see how anybody could lose a race on a rev. the revs the best chassis there is, by far. some people just cant handle it but it is a simple chassis to ride. jsut too bad doo motors arent too reliable and arent to fast.

an iqr 7 would be cool.. but exactly how much lighter is it then your IQ rmk after u put something more than that one2one? is it wortht he extra 9grand or whatever these sleds go for? ask yourself that. its not like your rmk is an M series and is rediculous on the trail lol. its got good ergonomics so its fine for a jumping sled. my vote is still to just strip weight off your rmk, get a single pipe, vent the hood. rally and have a kick *** sled.
text me when u get this nigg

that has a lot to do with the riders, not so much the sleds though

:)

i agree nick,
they have the point that his dads gonna get the rmk and yeti will ride the iq till they get to the hill then theyll trade sleds, which is a fun idea. but its just a lot of extra spending. i guess theyll spend that money anyway getting another, but id stick with the rmks. holz skid and a single pipe with light hood. the yeti would be a monster
