Polaris IQR Mountain chassis debate:

Thanks Craig, that means a lot coming from cheap *** like you. :)

I OWN U, if you can get me a 08+ EZ ryde for $1,000 sign me up. But it better not be all clapped out.

Cheap A$$?!!!! I seem to remember buying a 40ft gooseneck that you passed on. LOL.....I would say that I am more price aware than cheap. If I want something, I buy it......and I pay cash. That alone has saved me thousands over the years. BTW how's the old ball and chain's IQr coming?

call me at 406-224-0067 anytime of the day and we can dicker.

On using the stock skid I'd say only if you want to jump the $hit out of it. It is overbuilt for sno-x and heavy.

Setting it back will help on aproach angle but make it stiffer yet, you're simply giving it more leverage.

And between doing setback, revalving and research you'll be miles ahead in result by going RMK suspension.

I might try to get my IQR910 to snowbank with the Carls boys, but that all depends on the doc letting my go.

I have a complete 2006 IQR front end with Brads Lowered Spindles for sale....I know, don't post that here:D

I hope the Ice Age rails are the way to go, I bought a set of 136" and a 2 rear wheel kit for my '09 IQR. I don't plan on using this sled like a 172" RMK. I am only going out west once a year to Cooke City and the rest of the miles will be put on in MN or in the U.P.. I will also be racing in a couple of grass roots sno-cross races this year so I am hopeing the 136" will turn out all right. I am completley new to this chassis and just bought it brand new about a month ago, so I am trying to figure out all the info I can about em.

Thanks,
Landon

Midwest boondocking with a 136x2 and the ICEAGE rails is the way to go. You shouldn't have anyproblem blowing air with that setup. 09's came with a lower front end so you may trench less. Sounds like the ultimate powerline/gravelpit setup.

Looks like I missed out on this IQr thread. Guess I got some reading to do. . .
