rode hasler today.rock hard no new snow for days .powder king is saying new snow but hasler had to be rain .rode to sunshine bowl had to run with scratchers down all the way to there.just getting worse turned around. not worth the drive.....

Rode Beaver Creek yesterday it was pretty windy, we had a good day of riding there was 6 of us we were the only ones out there all day but when we returned to the trucks both vehicles were broke into they actually had the tools to pull the key locks out of the doors and stole $550 dollars out of the one guys wallet left the visa and he even had a spare set of truck keys in the truck left the vehicle alone, stole the radar detector and a flashlight and went right through the other truck and ransacked it. These people didnt want the cell phones or the visa's or super clamps nothing like that they were only interested in cash. Everyone Beware and watch for anyone suspicious. Im pretty pissed off and would really like to find out who did it.

so they're up to that again are they? been a couple years since I've heard of trucks getting broke into in the pass, used to be 20 trucks a day got ransacked, a buddy of mine lost a window and a dash. A word to you chicken chit thieving baztards.......there was a group doing this in the torpy a few years back, hitting every vehicle in the parking lot, well it only lasted so long before it was found out who it was, and let's just say that guy may or may not be walking by now I'm not sure. Mine or my buddy's wallet is not worth the loss of use in your limbs is it?

Was it a red explorer by chance, i seem to remember a red suv last year snooping around the lots on day when i came back to the trucks early, buddy was pretty quick to leave though.

had my truck broken into on sunday just past summit lake, did the same thing poped the lock out but they left all the cash in my truck just wanted my subs, amp, gps and jacket. I also just got the word from someone that they used one of the visa's that they stole in a beer store in pg and they got the picure of the two guys faces i will be getting that pic and posting it on here soon they will be found.

that's nearly the exact same way the last guy got caught in p.g. a few years ago, he used a card in the pub but the waitress knew the owner of the card and called him. He got what was coming.
Please post that pic

When I get time I would spend a day in the parking lot in hopes of casterating the thieves. My truck got broke into as well. We need a game plan.

How's the snow doing in beaver creek and hasler? Is the snow pack a little safer then before?

Snow was decent at Beaver Cr. on saturday. 10-12 inches fresh. pretty much carved the crap outta everything and saw no signs of sloughing. i think your pretty safe out there now unless we get a considerable dump of fresh stuff. reminded me of spring riding actually.

No sloughing right now, but the hills will be unstable for the remainder of the year. There is a 2" layer of ice right on top of the rocks, and lots of layers of sugary snow and hoar frost on top of that. Dig down and see for yourself!!!! Don't get caught fooling yourselves into thinking that it is spring riding time and all is well. Be wary and ride safe. I am a Search & Rescue Manager and Organized Avalanche Response Team Leader and I don't want to have to tell your families any bad news!!!!! It is still not totally safe out there. When a slide happens, it will be a big one!!! Other than that, the snow was fluffy and untracked all weekend. Just ride smart!
