That's a 13 percent gain to track hp with the pdrive over stock tra.. Pretty decent gain forsure.. How hard will it be to dial the pdrive in tom on a turbo setup.. Almost a 25 hp gain on a 200hp sled is pretty bigggggggg...

Fred,
The possibilities with this new clutch are just beginning. Options will continue to open up as the summer progresses.

Here's some new videos.

This is a good thread read from the beginning if you are trying to wrap your head around this new pDrive.

Not long before adjustable flyweights like the Team Rooster or SLP lightning weights get released for these pDrive clutches.

This will allow you to tune to the engine power band well... by placing a weight, within the flyweight, at the tip, mid or heel.

This Clutch is VERY easy to understand now for me... very similar to a P85 in function... with some great new features.:face-icon-small-ton

ZRP just released the adjustable flyweights you mentioned last season :)

One of the things I worry about with these weights is the ability to adjust on the hill for elevation. I must admit I like what skidoo has done with these new clutches and I would prefer to not take a step back.

My dealer started a case in regards to clutching issues. The main focus of the complaint was over revving. The official response:

-They are working on a solution, but there will be nothing available this season.
-Additional weights for the pdrive are not available. This includes part numbers from the race catalog.
-They recommended purchasing the Goodwin kit and adding ~2g for my scenario.

So basically, they aren't doing jack schitt.

Has anyone found a source for weight shims? I have the doo 16.7g and 13.1g bolts but was looking at the hardware store or Napa for smaller shims/washers to fine tune. I didn't find anything metric so the fit want real good and thought it wouldn't work.

Odd that they are not offering the weights that the clutch is designed to utilize. Goodwin or a stainless bushing the appropriate size will work fine, just scope out the hardware stores.

I added 10 grams to each 38mm bolt and set my clickers on 3. Still over revving so i set clickers to 1 and brought the rpm's down to 8250.

I have a high elevation with 2.5" 165 track. Getting very frustrated as i was riding at 4000-5000 elevation.

I think im around 22grams clicker 3
8-10k and still slightly over
8000 rpm
Just in case your confused
Thats 22grams per bolt

24g, Click #2 @ 4-6k. RPM not very consistent but not hitting 8300 anymore, max usually records at 8150ish and visually I'm 7800-8000. Cleaning clutch and belts every ride and making sure deflection is good. MT Baker. Clutches still hot as F@$&! Even after venting, removal of all BS, and punching many holes in the cover.

Doo has 3 different pin weights just happens we are at the heaviest stock. You can get more weight through the Doo race truck at any race event or order direct from the race devision. It is not part of the regular parts program.

24g I am assuming is the bolt with weight total? I just got the Goodwin kit for both my 850's and I was going to start by just adding 4g spacers to each bolt. I noticed the Stock bolt is heavier than the bolt that Goodwin sends so I was going to stick with the stock bolt (18g) + the 4 gr spacer from the kit for a total of 22 g.

SHR has kits for low and high elevation...including sec spring and proper pin weight...even new custom weights that you can add tip weight for lower elevations IN THE SLED !!-BJ
