did 24 foot who gives a crap really say that a retarted hatred for gay peoples rights make America a family thats like saying a kid that joins a gang and mugs people makes him and his fellow gang members a family and even if they feel like one is it for the better? and the thing about the pilgrims was that they came here to escape religious prosecution of there religion its not like they were ok with everyone elses that had mandetory sunday sabbaths and hanged people who didn't practice what they believed. the founding fathers may have based the constitution on the ten commandments but all of that is common sense don't take other peoples stuff, don't have sex with another dudes wife and so on and so forth people new that stuff was wrong before moses talked to burning bushes. religion has no place in government.

Some good comments everybody... I'm not trying to convert anybody to Christianity... I just tell you what I believe, take it how you want it.
I believe and base my thoughts and statement on the Bible. What do you guys base your arguments on? What you think and perceive...? A good teacher will tell you to qoute your sources... well? What are they.
For the guy who said it's true for me but not for him... how about this. Alot of people think God is who they make Him out to be... I believe that God is Orville Redenbocker from the popcorn commercials. I believe that if I eat enough popcorn, (extra butter movie style) and salt it just right, that I will spend eternity on top of a mountain of popcorn and eat to my hearts desire. Is this true? Alot of people would say, "whatever he wants to believe is true for him." It's ridiculous.
I base my arguments and statements on the Bible, a book written by God though humans for those going to make the argument of it being written by humans. It was inspired by God. I take it as fact. I look at creation as proof of God. Take a watch. Was it made by a watchmaker? Yes. Well, how do you know it was... because the watch is there... just like the world. A watch didn't just happen. We know we have a creator because there is no way it or we just happened. That's another thread. That is why I base my belief on the Bible.
So for the metalhead metallicasled who has 2 qoutes from the righteous man we all know as Hitler in his signature..... I didn't get anything you said.
Look at the charters for all the states, great post by the way. We as a country were created by men of God, thanks swampwater, that was awesome stuff. We have enjoyed hundreds of years of blessing because we are a country based on Christian values. We now are going a different direction... is God still blessing us? I think no.
We spit on God, allow all sorts of terrible things... ie... killing babies (murder), gay marriage... allowing dictators to kill their own people without doing something... think of America as a spoiled little kid, you know the one who kicks and screams till he gets his way... he grows up to be a spoiled rotten adult who allows eveything to take place. If you don't stand for something, you will fall for everything. That is where we are today.

Don't forget my generation ( and I'm older than the boomers) paid big taxes, social security, and health insurance for 40 years of our careers, and helped make the country safe for everybody, even punks.

LOL Your arguments are quite a stretch...Popcorn? Cmon man, is that the best you can do?
As for the watch analogy...I know the watch was made by the watchmaker because I can visit his shop and see the watchmaker make the watch with my own eyes. You THINK you have a creator because that is what you BELIEVE (and I respect that, even if I dont believe it). The Earth has been in existance for billions of years...humans have existed for a million or more years...civilization has been around for about 15-20,000 years. There have been, and are, many religions. Dont you think its a little arrogant to think that yours is the ONLY true religion, just because you have a book written by people, interpreted and changed for 2000 years, to fit what King James wanted it to say? ....just food for thought.
I'm curious if you've ever studied the history of christianity? If you have an understanding of why christianity took hold when so many other equally popular religions of the time failed? (not mocking, just wondering if you have educated yourself, or are just blindly following the new testament, which is how you make it sound).
I respect your right to believe whatever you want...just dont preach it as fact.
