Nytro's doing what Nytros arent supposed to :)

i would like to run a thinner stance on my front end i do believe it would be much easier to roll over than what stock is. over all they are a little scary on the trail with the sway bars disconnected. but handles nicer in the powder. Thanks for sharing hope to see the results forsale in the future, good luck with it.

Come on air pressure in the shocks couldnt have made the ride bad enough to quit riding? what else is going on, the pics looked like regular fox shocks. come on let us in on it

most people do not understand HOW tighly tied together the rear skid and your front suspenion are...

having ridden the "Green" sled I can tell you definitively it rode like a formula 1 race car, it was INSANE how well it did on the trail, I was BLOWN away...

The secret sauce is geometry...

There ya go, your another person that rode the green machine and LOVED it.

Tell ya what, that machine made a BELIEVER out of me that AIR PRESSURE changes everything!!

interesting, it rode like it was on rails when i was on it....which is interesting...I could not imagine a sled riding better on the trails than the green one...However in pow, it was a little harder, but not a lot...which is really a lesson to all of us with air shocks, it can be 5 PSI between horrid and awesome...

how many lbs you running?

I was just a test mule for the backcountry... My job was to put it through the paces..

I did not get into the technical...Scmurs will be able to answer it though...

My sled is a 2010 MTX SE just like Christopher's. The only real performance update on it is a 162" x 2.5" CE track. It has the stock Float rear skid and the stock skis on it. It does have our handlebar relocation kit and a 1" taller riser with a flat plate to t-post adapter made by North Coast Innovation. More information can be found here on that:

http://www.northcoastinnovation.com/

When I left my sled, it had 75 psi in the front Evol-R shocks, 65 psi in the center shock and 150 psi in the rear. I am not 100% sure that this is how it was the day that Christopher rode it however.

There are no engine mods whatsoever on the sled. The clutching however, is not stock.

Christopher states that the sled is easier to roll over in his review. I agree with that 100% and I'd like to expand on that to say that when you do roll the sled over for any given maneuver, it does so at a much more predictable and controlled rate. The sled seems to have lost that "high point" where it will, almost uncontrollably, flop right over on its side. I hope this makes sense.

Off camber and downhill turning are also dramatically improved. The sled did not want to "fall off the hill" anymore. It went where I wanted it to go with much more precision and predictability.

And as stated, the sleds trail manners for a 162" sled with a 39" front end, stock skis and no sway bar, were very predictable and easy to ride at speeds of up to 70 mph or so.

I agree with your comments 100% !

In layman's terms, your sled was simply EASIER to maneuver, regardless what it was I was asking the sled to do..

Be it sidehilling or trail riding, it was just plain NICER to be on than my 2010 162 SE.

The difference was STRIKING.

Scott, Does the CE track hook up better in deep powder? What clutch are you running?

Scott, Does the CE track hook up better in deep powder?

I only put about 100 miles in two days of riding in the U.P. of Michigan with the stock Maverick ( newer single ply style ). I could tell right away that I was not going to be satisfied with it if I took it out west, so I just bit the bullet and bought the CE. I really like the Power Claw track too. Can't go wrong with either one IMO.

Christopher might have a better review of the comparison of the Maverick vs the CE since he has more powder time with the Maverick.

Scott, What clutch are you running?

It's a stock Yamaha primary and secondary.

Just has different pieces and parts in it :face-icon-small-coo

Couple more pics from the trip that Skinz had to Alpine WY....

I don't see anything wrong with my TS Boonie bumper in that pic???

There's something different on my sled from the previous pics that doesn't look right though.....:face-icon-small-con

Sigh.
I really wasn't focusing in on the track or any difference that it might have made that day. Just wasn't paying attention to that portion of the sled.

Never did get stuck though the entire day..
Never trenched the sled once.

70 or so????!!!! Hey Scott, you do realize that the flipper will go ALL THE WAY to the bar!! LOL:D

Seriously though, it's good to hear the positive reviews about the off-camber performance! It's one of the things that I'd like to change most about my Nytro.
