nytro vs 800 rev

Thread Rating
3.00 star(s)
haha rpm makes a huge difference and rt's aren't even that great to be honest only bout a quarter of them run better then a stock 800 rev....

yep, it does, and mine is not running at near optimum RPM either...but the difference is that I disclose those things...

never once claimed anything about your friends...but your taking your friends opinion and counting it as gospel versus others with differing opinion...heck I still have buddies I ride with that are convinced the best sled on the snow is a 1m 900

your rules changed by saying you wanted to see a nytro in trees around 50 feet apart...so I show you that...

and one at HIGH speed, and you then change to 40 feet...

oh well...pearls before swine...

qoute me on where i wanted to see a nytro in trees 50 feet apart? or your just another last page hero who didnt read the hole thing?

me too two

This thread cracks me up... yet another comparison of a turbo yammie to an 800 doo... Any idiot with $18K could beat an 800 up that hill... who cares? pinning it straight up tracked out hills gets old in about 5 minutes. Some of you guys need to come and do some real riding in the trees where throwing another $5K or $10K into your sled isn't goona help you. Unlike wide open hillclimbs the winner is rarely the guy with the biggest pocket book (unless he has mad skills to boot)! Sooo many guys think their king sh!t out there after they go spend 30K on a sled just so they can beat anybody else up some hill... i truly pitty those guys if they think thats what mountain riding is all about.

my thoughts exactly
A turbo nytro aint gonna help me keep up to my main ridin buddy
learning how snake my rev through trees that are 10 ft apart will.
Wes, one day man. maybe not soon, but one day...

I have two revs and a mcx nytro. The nytro is front heavy. That is a huge disadvantage boondocking. What I consider boondocking is different than what other people consider it. Going around one tree isn't boondocking. Serious boondocking is more rider than machine.
When that weight gets canted over on the downhill side it is tough in the tight and technical stuff. You have to look ahead and get a ski up before it dips. I can put my 06 rev on stuff I can't do with the nytro. The nytro will kill the rev on the hill. It is amazing how easy the nytro will walk through stuff in the trees. It will go through some stuff easier than the rev. When it is slow and tight the rev wins. I have the wide simmons on the nytro. It doesn't tip up as easy as it did with the stock skis but stock skis suck. I would like to try powder pros on it.
I didn't ride the nytro for the first month because I didn't think I was going to get a turbo this year. I was just riding the 06 or 07 rev. I seen someone saying that the nytro tipped up easier than the rev. My first thought was bs. I took it out stock and it does tip up easier than the 07. Not my 06 with the mountain addiction rear. That is the best boondocking suspension period. Stock, I had a ball on the nytro. I just couldn't climb as high. The track sucks.
I don't have to care what does what better because I can take either one out and have fun. They are each a different kind of fun. I wouldn't part with either.

you no when the yamaha riders have a look on there face like this  and 5 minutes later there up side down thats my type of tree riding... not like the thread on old forum watch these yamahs in the trees there 50 feet apart from each other lol

hmmmmm wonder who wrote this?

woke up this morning, tired of arguing on a yamaha forum about value of a Nytro...So this site became a desire for me to see...

yeah that would be good...since all the Doo guys get their jollies coming onto the Yammie forums...must be some sort of inferiority complex...

omg! my bikes fast then yours, my dads tougher than yours!give it a break boys! everyone should face the truth. yes the nytros a good sled, no it will not beat a xp stk. yes a boosted nytro will beat a xp. and thats the bottom line. and if you cant live with that. theres doctors that can help ya.

Thats it....somebody want to buy my XP?Nice video Toyz-----that just cost me $20grand plus.

dont sell yet pal, that nytro was turboed. I Have both nytro and xp, dont get me wrong I love my nytro, but the xp is hands down an absolute animal. Going back and forth you feel everyone of the 120 lb difference.
