nytro vs 800 rev

Blah, blah, blah...when you're ready to quit hiding behind the keyboard and come and ride, then all your talk will mean something. Until then, you're just another future renter.

actually im not a key board rider like the most of you on here i got over 1800 miles this season im not the one who has to post a vid of me beating a tundra on a straight poke... now go run a long and beat a stock sled on a turbo yamaha your mom must be proud...:)

This thread cracks me up... yet another comparison of a turbo yammie to an 800 doo... Any idiot with $18K could beat an 800 up that hill... who cares? pinning it straight up tracked out hills gets old in about 5 minutes. Some of you guys need to come and do some real riding in the trees where throwing another $5K or $10K into your sled isn't goona help you. Unlike wide open hillclimbs the winner is rarely the guy with the biggest pocket book (unless he has mad skills to boot)! Sooo many guys think their king sh!t out there after they go spend 30K on a sled just so they can beat anybody else up some hill... i truly pitty those guys if they think thats what mountain riding is all about.

what cracks me up is why you think how much someone does or doesnt have in thier sled has any corelation to riding ability. I dont really care what you ride, the rider makes the sled, not the other way around.

Again, the original point of toyz post was that there are a lot of riders bragging that thier XP's will hang with anything.

Now, its that you cant hang on the straight pulls, but lets see how you do in the trees. What are you going to say when the next vid show a whoopin in the trees? The reality is that it doesn't matter what you ride, its the rider that matters.

if you can get a vid of a yamaha beating a xp in the trees it aint tree riding i'll tell you that right now, in about 20 feet you shouldnt be able to see the person a head of you...

Wow..so much anger..
To set the record straight yes this sled is turbo charged.. running 12 # of boost that day..just 250 hp at that setting the doo 800 with some mods and a 180# rider vs 280# rider...do the math weight vs hp

I do own a xp (extra problem) there a great concept and when there all done being fixed they are a great stock sled..

# 1 the xp 800 is a mtn sled right so why do you allways go back to boondocking thru trees for comparison it is a mountain sled.if you ride thru trees buy a cross over sled.
#2 My nytro handles WAY better than MY xp boondocking thru tree,s etc. Dont belive it lets ride togeter.

#3 The xp are not any faster than the 06-07 rev 800 the guys I ride with beat the xp,s in our group all the time and yes there are alot of xp,s in our group abot half are xp,s..

#4 the reason for this vid was to set some guys straight that has told me there xp can hang with the t nytro in a climb even in the spring where you can go almost anywhere the xp still cant go where this sled does. You should see what this sled does when there is 3 feet of powder xp, 1000 cc cats bang the hill for an hour track poching and my first attempt I go right over in the fresh taking the hardest line..

Ohh we also did a 100% stock nytro race up a hill with the doo 800..that has some mods ps this guy on the 800 has an xp this sled walk,s allover his xp thats why he parked it... like I said before I have 100# on this rider and the nytro is not even broke in yet 80 miles and I have not even re geared it or anything at all except put reg unleaded in .. stock out of the box...listen to the 800 with pipes etc. next vid I will put a guy of equal weight on against a random xp owner..

what's your phone number and address PUD. I'm on my way within the next couple weeks. I've got a tapex that's heavier then he!!, and a nytro that is almost as heavy. Both have rear mounts, the lag should make them even worse in your little tree world. If you have an excuse because they are boosted, I have a buddy with a brand new nytro that I will bring with me. If you make an excuse for that, I also have access to a stock apex as well. let me know.

toyz, you can kick PUD in the nuts and he will still deny it. that's just how stupid he is.

but doing the comparison of this vid, you weigh 100 pds more then this guy, the nytro is what, 60 pds heavier then his rev (according to everybody) and it has 130 h.p. compared to 140-150ish for the rev?? the nytro got beat by a little bit there(not much). something has got to be wrong, waiting for excuses to fly. that wasnt' your turbo sled was it, and you were just half throttle there?? the rev rider was sandbagging and let you stay close. I'm just helping these guys with there excuses already.

the guys that can afford to build a 30k sled must not be an idiot they made money some how and it wasn,t beacuse they are stupid. hmmm

I thought ski doo calls this sled a HIGH MARK..SUMMIT.THE DOO IS A MTN SLED HIGH MARK MEANS HIGHEST MARK ON THE HILL NOT FASTES THRU THE TREE,S WHY DONT THEY CALL IT a t 800 made to wonder aimesley thru tree,s.

SO do you really think a guy that has a ( A BIG POCKET BOOK) cant ride as well as the average Joe?

Ok now that you seen the stock nytro vs mod 800/stock rev vid what do you have to say...

THE rev 800 pulled me by 2 sled length,s or so not bad for a 130 hp stock/ HEAVY / sled racing against a lighter more powerfull sled and rider.

you no when the yamaha riders have a look on there face like this  and 5 minutes later there up side down thats my type of tree riding... not like the thread on old forum watch these yamahs in the trees there 50 feet apart from each other lol

hate to break it to you PUD, but my Nytro wil go WAY more places than my Rev....and no, it is not stock, but it is also NOT boosted (yet) but it is also lighter than my Rev was...

It is easier to hold a line, easier to boondock, easier to do powder donuts in, easier to sidehill...etc. etc. etc.

So, until you have ridden one for more time than it takes for the sales guy to hand you the brochure, you might not want to bash what you dont know, as it shows your ignorance...

Video not working !

I can't seem to get any Photobucket videos to work. It just comes to their screen and blinks at me and won't let me click on it . Anybody have an idea what's wrong ?

do you have any vidieo of the stock nytro in powder climbing, in my case with $1200.00 in extras my nytro in powder compared to my xp, the xp looks like the turbo in your first clip with the xp anialating the nytro by 6 lenghts minimum, and not bashing i like my nytro its just the way it is.

i dont know? must of been a badas$ batch of nytro's out there. because stk they cant run with a rmk 700!!! boosted a different story, an i dont care how much you weight, my money would still be on boost!!!

And here is a pic...where two weekends ago...and I know the arguments and debate before it even starts...My Nytro is stock under the hood...I have timbersled all around, and have dropped 70+ lbs. of weight...but it is undenialbe what happened on this hill for this day...

Here is the situation RT 1000 clutched and dialed (for lower elevation though) was only pulling around 7500 RPM's as reported by rider...

Nytro was only pulling about 8200 RPM's and track speed of only 45 mph avg...

So neither sled was at ideal RPM/HP

elevation:9000 ft.+/-

Here is the slope...

Personally, would not have believed it myself if I had not experienced it...and there was no poaching going on, at one point in the vid you can see me hit someones track underneath, and it throws me a little...but I can tell you that this was not staged...no funny business...I chalk up the climb (since i am not a big hill banger) to the new suspension...

There are only 5 tracks on this hill...three are mine...the one mark you see that I climb right up next to, was made less than 3 minutes before the one in the vid...There is a tremendous advantage in teh 4strokes in these long pulls as they dont get the heat soak as bad as the 2 smokers...I did 3 back to back pulls and no issue...

couldnt' agree with ya more.
