nytro vs 800 rev

What I'm seeing is that this thread had degraded to eveyone talking about their own little special corner of the world. 1/4 mile, 2ft tight trees, 1/2 mile, etc...

Everyone needs to go back and look at the original intention of the post...which was that toyz was racing some smack talkin XP owners who keep saying their XP's will hang or even beat a T-Nytro.

He never made any claim about stock vs stock, although the second vid shows a stock nyto racing a stock 1000 Rev and hanging right with it.

Slim, got nothing but respect for you, but you did come on this thread claiming to whoop up on a MCX Nytro in all conditions, including "deep powder high marks". Then the details come out and its just a 1/4 miler.

Anyway, we all ride what we want, and the reality is that the rider makes the sled, not the other way around.

Is it just me or are people missing the point that stock for stock, the Nytro is a 600 class sled? Your stock 800 should beat a stock 700, especially with a weight disadvantage. it's nothing to brag about, it's physics. wtf?


Slim's sled is stock motor but has been on a SERIOUS diet and Slim is an above average tuner. Not to mention slim weighs about 160 pounds. The TNytro he is referring too is Drinkwyo's sled. I rode with Slim and Wyo a couple days before the big "smack-down" happened. I am not sure how Slim beat him but I am sure he did. he wouldn't flat out lie about it.

HOWEVER, when I rode with them, the TNytro was literally just out of the box, was not properly set up, and it still was climbing hills with more speed than anyone else we were with. He crested one particular hill on it and flew about 65 feet. It was amazing. The other XP's in the group could only carry enough speed to jump about 15 feet. Not to mention that the Nytro rider was recovering from some LIFE THREATENING burns he got while working this winter. I can't imagine he felt 100% which will affect your riding abilities.


Slim, I love you like a brother and that's the truth. But, your are the same guy that told me not to buy an XP because both of yours were POS's. Just about every XP (and Rev) owner I personally know in real life, has had some major issues. They are an engineers sled. They look good on paper but don't hold together in the real world like they ought to.

I have owned 3 rev's in a row now and have put three motors in them. I have spent some seat time on a stock and S/C Nytro this year and I love them. They are very rideable sleds and those that keep talking smack about keeping up in the trees, obviously haven't ridden one. I hope to own a Nytro XTX with a stage one blower from MPI next year. They lightened the steering on the Nytros next year and that was really my only complaint this year.

So I rarely post in pi$$ing matches like this for fear of losing a potential customer, but you know... it is what it is.

LMAO. the way you posted not 3 responses ago, this should be in your pocket already. you made a claim that you smoked a tnytro, back it up and take Toyz challenge. you both should have video cams rolling so there is no biased footage, make sure there is good powder and lots of trees. I'm just trying to cover all the copouts and excuses your brother PUD had to get this little challenge on.

I find it funny the way posts get "distorted" in some of your own little minds.

I stand by my earlier post, I repeatedly took Kev's Nytro in the conditions I listed, You all decided in your own vision on what they were, you were not there, I and 20 other riders were. And as a follow up a month later in HERO snow, the drag race was the identical results, I won the quarter mile, right at about where the Turbo would blow by me.

The whole intent of me entering this crapola is to discount the statement that REV's & XP's etc. can't go where an TURBO Nytro can or hang with them. Bottom line is thats horsecrap. For any rider of any sled except FREAK's or the other top guns, to say that a particluar sled will always beat another has a crushing reality coming for when that oddity shows up, and I've been called odd for years ....

p.s. I went back and watched your second video toyz, on that hill, you give me the same lead (Or nolead ) and I would have beat you to the top................... That is just under about a 1/4 mile I would think.

OK, Ok, I know you all have been waiting.

1st off, Slim has a wicked fast sled OUT OF THE HOLE. He did beat me in a short drag race. BUT, If I wanted a drag race sled i'd move to F^%^&ing Minnesota and build one. I live in WYOMING and dont give a F*&CK about DRAG RACING. So yes, Slim can beat a TNYTRO in a drag race(as long as it is not real far)

2nd, I dont know where Slimmy got the idea he could highmark me. Theres no chance in hell. You know i love ya Slim but, SORRY, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, YOU KNOW IT AND SO DO I. There is no way a 45 mph track speed sled is going to outclimb an 80 mph track speed sled on ANY hill in ANY snow condition.

yup those videos defenatly show how much of a differnce a turbo makes on a sled no matter wut flavor it is..i cant wait till next year wen i can put a turbo on the 4 stroke ski-doo.. it is gunna eat those junky yammis for breakfast, lunch and dinner..i i can even kook all those meals on a turboed yammi too cum they all light up so easyly..this is wut we saw cummin down the trail one day..so yes its true have a look

I will give you your terms 1/4 mile or less hill and a 50 foot head start ( the same short hill on the vid) pick a spot arond the base of the hill and I will back up 50 feet then we go for it..you beat me I will donate 500$ to any snowmobile club of your choice and pay for your cost to drive here. You loose you owe me NOTHING..you just have to show up I will pay for your food beer etc. At one of the nicest cabins around

I am not mother nature I would love to do this in 2 or 3 feet of pow this is when this sled realy shine,s I will give you 100 foot head start on a 1/4 mile hill in these conditions This weekend we are forecasted to get 2 feet of new snow. Lets do this .

We had a turbo doo guy spread rumour's here too ---- however on race day he never produced ---- looks like a similar story.

Looking at race results here the stock XP on snow drags in 660 feet makes for a good race against a stock Nytro I have seen either one win depending on driver set up and reaction time.
In soft condition The XP has a edge in the hard the torque of the 4 stroke comes of the line better.

Toyz, I accept. Your offer speaks volumes on your character, I think it is admirable. We are all about having fun, too many people take this sh!t as life or death. This sport is all about commraderie.

On the bet, its only right that if I lose I still will donate the $250, in fact I will match your amout of $500 to SAWS. Thats about as much as I care to lose. With your offer of accomadations its only fair that I ante up. You sure on the edges you want to give me????

One word of advice to noob. I highly suggest you don't show, I find you a rude p-rick.

One issue tho, I am scheduled to have season ending surgery on May 2. I would sincerely like to make plans well enuf in advance to pull this off next year. Keep in touch.

Haha once again a turbo yamaha will beat a stock xp on a uphill drag race... and it should.... but stock to stock in deep pow the nytro doesnt compare climbing at all...
