can you get a pic of how the intercooler attaches to the throttle bodys

also what did travis say for boost #s and hp #s
is it going to be upgradeable in the future for bigger #s

to bad he dosent cnc his logo into the plate on the side of the intercooler to bling it up a bit

enjoy the ride :beer;

current kit is producing 10 Lbs. of boost, where as last years kit was producing 8 lbs...

is kit upgradeable? potentially, but keep in mind stock fuel delivery and pump fuel are the goals of this kit...

HP all depends upon elevation...at lower elevation you can run the typical 10 HP/lb of boost...but elevation screws with all that...it is safe to say this kit will get you in the 200 HP range at altitude...

which for me was the goal all along....under 500lbs. and at 200hp...Did I tell you i CANNOT wait to get the kit on? Tuesday cannot come fast enough!!!

I'm hitting 12lbs regularly. I haven't tried increasing it yet. I'm running at 1800ft elevation, 91 fuel, and meth inject. She flies!

hmmm nytro meth, and 50/50... did you guys tweak it to get up to 12lbs.?

if I run pump 91 at 5000+ and 12 lbs. of boost...that might not be a good thing...

additionally I thought I had heard that the stock fuel system was really only good up to about 10PSI...and at taht, it was really only deisgned for peaking at 10 PSI?

input? thoughts?

Finally Done!

Well I finished and everything went according to plan. The trail tank fits really well and the body panels lined up nicely. Really looks factory. Have not really had a chance to ride it yet. We had 40 degrees and melted half the snow cover. Won't stop me tomorrow from running down the yard a few times.

The sled is a combo of crow's tunnel closure, errol's under tunnel exhaust and LED lights, and Moto's better boards modifications. All combined we'll call it my own.

I installed a boost controller on mine, it hits 12 pounds easily. I am probably going to turn it down to 10 and leave it there, its definately good enough at 10 pounds.

I have recently learned through tuning that the stock fuel system can't handle anymore than 10lbs at 1800ft it seems. I will be needing some upgrades.(Fuel pump/regulator)

to get more power you need more fuel...as well the dobeck adjusts fuel based upon boost level...so it is dynamically adding fuel as per the boost level and the programming need...

DuramaxDan to answer your question about how the intercooler attaches I guess I need to understand what exactly are you looking for. The stock radiator is moved down into the subframe and the intercooler replaces the radiator in the same location. It's attached by some side brackets to the stock mounting bolts in the frame and connects to the throttle bodies with silicone tubing and stainless hose clamps.

I did get some decent seat time today at sea level in about a foot of decent snow and I was amazed. The power was super smooth no turbo hit and uncontrolled chaos. The engine felt very linear more like a 1500 cc 2 stroke big bore kit than a small engine trying to make power with a huge turbo (off and on power). The low and mid range impressed me the most. I knew the top end would be fantantastic and was not disappointed, but the midrange quick hitting power was a pleasant surprise. I have ridden rear mount turbos and they are not as quick to the power as this midmount turbo. With the turbo basically on the engine responce was immediate. The wastegate is set at 10psi and I was running 92 octane had no detonation, but I am adding 2 gallons per tank of race fuel for power and saftey factor. Travis is reporting much more power than last years kit due to the better fuel mapping and overall efficiencies of the new design. The BOV seemed to work well; getting on and off the power was immediate and the turbo kept spinning so boost was instant stabbing the throttle off and on. Very good so far.

Skis were pointed to the sky all afternoon. I did shim the timbersled rear suspension to keep the front down some with a 1/4" shim stack in the transfer adjustment and that kept the skis about 1 foot off the ground. That's where I want to be boondocking in the powder. The sled is now on a semi headed for Togowotee and I will report fully what I think in the steep and deep.

thank you otis

the pic of the intercooler backside answers my question thank you
she wheelies on demand then i take it
cant wait to get my hands on a kit
just got home from golden last night nytro ran great but coming off a 700 bd turbo dragon to the stock nytro was not cool
i need boost

enjoy your ride otis :beer;

any video of a nytro with one of these turbos on
pics of how the intercooler hooks to the throttle bodies

we will have video in two days...we are doing two installs tomorrow, and plan on trying to get out to blow some cobwebs out in the afternoon...

we will have video of some pulls, and some head to heads against M8's and possilby someboodocker tD8's...So should be good comparisons as well...

if you have stock suspension...you WILL need to be careful to not wheely all day long...I have timbersled rear, and will bring the shims with me to adjust while on hill...

but we should have more than enough video to show the kit, and the powder is very good in bozeman area...

FWI, for our boost level Allen at Timbersleds recommended the 1/4" shim to the bottom of the transfer rod.

I did get the skinny on the fuel controller. Mode button changes which MAP to change. It's calibrated like an old carburator for simplicity. Green light is idle fuel control, yellow light is mid range fuel, and red light is top end fuel control. You can use the plus/minus buttons to add or subtract fuel as needed. The controller has safe guards built in to prevent you from going too lean and wrecking the sled. It will allow you to add enough fuel to bog out though. So Travis recommended keep it as is, but you can lean it out some if there is a bog or changes in altitude, but the stock EFI will adapt for elevation. Really easy to use. So easy in fact I hid mine under the cowl to keep anyone from knowing what's under the hood.

WOW, spent two days with Travis ridin and wrenchin' what a great guy!!!

have the kit on my nytro now, and LOVE it!!! need to get my clutching dialed in a little more, it was only spinning 8000 RPM's and when I got it there...I had an event!!!

wind blown meadows that we have played in for the last days and well lets just say I foind one f the wind blown spots asnd caught a ski and you know what over tea kettle sledded rolled over the hard way yes nose dive and flip...threw me and came down on the back of the tunnel...bending my tunnel...hit hard enough it popped the track off...

boost is ADDICTIVE!!!!
