New sleds and the poor riders that go with them.

yes i hate being able to go where i want past the older sleds. i hate myself for having a nice sled. when i jump i try and jump i usually wreck maybe you can teach me how to ride it.
maybe you should protest newer technology and never get anything newer than 2000 so we can all try to make it up the hill in others tracks.
all joking aside you can come ride with us when you get a decent sled we dont have to tow out.

Perhaps you should stay at home and watch TV instead of sledding then go p-ss and moan about some other pointless thought on another forum. Or get a better job and buy a new sled.

Dont pick on me for riding a new sled, I would have stoped to help get your
stuck but out then continued on up the hill on my new sled. Its not a turbo that but I do want one. Thats the american way, work harder to get the things in life that are important to you.(could be just showing off who cares)

sympathy

The last few guys posting are pretty sympathetic..maybe they should get jobs in human relations or nursing. I would have to say that over the years, ive seen more mod sleds on the end of the rope than old stockers mainly because the builder doesn't know the difference between Walmart calipers and Mitutoyo's.

Best engine guy i ever knew said every good rider needs 2 sleds
1 to run and 1 to f..k with ....

1fast68 your cat in the hat pic killed me......i can't stop laughin..;)

Its public land your riding on, regardless some people just need to f*** off but if you want you own hill go buy one. Some people just want to have a good time and meet some new people.

Yeah, but normally when you want to meet new people you stop and chat. Not ride up their butts and otherwise cause trouble on the hill.

About Aug's thread last year, I was there and those guys were just plain dangerous.

Come on people, he gets towed out about the same amount as any other person, can ride pretty well, and though he doesn't have a "new" sled that thing really doesn't have a problem keeping up with most sleds.

Not sure where you are getting the idea that this was about money or jealousy? He was just saying a bit of politeness would have gone a long ways. It's the Big Horns, there are a pile of little hills to hit, absolutely no reason to play on a hill where there are already people.

hmmmm

AUG,

Where were you at when this happened? Were you on a steep hill that could avy or just playing around in the Black Hills and got stuck in a little pow. If it's the first, then I agree with you... ONLY ONE GUY ON A HILL AT A TIME & NEVER HIGHMARK A GUY WHO IS STUCK ON WIDOWMAKER! If it was the later, then I am sorry! I couldn't resist blowing by all you guys that were stuck on a little hill with a little bit of fresh pow on it. It was a nice ride tho! :-)

....or maybe it was 3 or 4 guys on newer sleds that were enroute to the steep and deep and just happend to go flying up that little bunny hill you were playing on in pursuit of something beyond that>>? Don't really know the specifics here but sounds like you just need to take some Midol, throw a couple cucumbers on your eyes and indulge in a nap....

LOL! Wow, this is getting funny! It was a decent sized hill with a flat top that went down hill on the other side to no where. It has dirt and grass on top because the wind blows the snow off. You can just drive around it and get to the other side. lol! Is that enough discription for you?
I would have to say most of the people that are getting mad about this are the people who do it.

My bad for the new sled part. I guess some of you got poopy pants about it, I'm just saying they were on new sleds because that was the only kind that could make it.

Don't let others influence what you do. Some people might be trying to show you up, and someone else might just want to shoot up a hill 'cause it looks like fun. There are nice people in the world and there are Jerks. Just ride and have fun and Avoid the Jerks.

I'm going to have to remember that the next time I'm on the hill. Be the alpha male, braap my can, and pull some sweet XP wheelies LMFAO

LOL im totally taking my stopper strap out and gutting my MBRP can now.

yep agree..i think the guy just wanted to show off abit and was careless if he got close...or maybee he thought he was blowing a track up you could follow...but yea a bit of showmanship for sure....but we all do it on occasion..any i do understand your point as well...just giving the other guy a little benefit of doubt as we all could be him

If he wants to ride with us he should stop and chat. I could understand if we were on the "big hill" but we weren't. I'm not saying all people who ride new sleds are
d1cks but everyone of them was riding a new sled. If he would have been on one a little older I could have kept up.lol:D

I hated it when a new sled would out climb mine so I did what any sensible person would do and went and bought one. now I am one of the dick heads:D don't be bitter just save your money and maybe you to can get a new sled

I have met some really great riders out there, am new to the sport, just learing what I cant do so may make some mistakes, like trying to ride a hill some one else is on, am watching and learing.

Have had some really great guys out there help me out in a pinch and I really appreciate there assistance, they didnt give me any grief at being a neubie, but just helped me out and I learned.... great people make the sport!:beer;:beer;:beer;
