New sleds and the poor riders that go with them.

Every time I would climb a hill and wouldn't make it or it took some work to make it. There was always a D!ck on a new sled that would just go flying by right next to us and go up the hill. There are miles of hills go away from our group when we are on a hill, that is what we always do.
We had four different people who did this to us shoot up the hill and leave. I don't care how great your new sled is in fact it doesn't look fun to ride, you go up the hill no competition to see who can make it first. I tried to get into a jumping competition with two of them, one tried it and almost wrecked ( which was funny) then left. If I would have caught one of them I would have beat his (bad word) head into his new sled. If you put me and one of those other people on the same sled I would always win, they make up for their lack of skill with power. RETARDS I HATE THEM!:mad::mad:

d-bags

It's a free country and people can do what they want but I smell what ur steppin in. When we go out to tog and rent a guide there is always a bunch of low lifes that are too cheap to get a guide and try to follow us and find the same snow for free. Those peeps I would like to strangle with a car antenna.:mad:

Wow! I ride a new sled, but I don't think it makes me a dick.:confused: I also don't think point and shooting a hillside says anything about how good of a rider you are. Anybody can do that. If you can climb through tight trees, make turns downhill through the trees and sidehill fore a mile, then that says something regardless of what sled you are on. Just my .02

dont sweat it.

Aug

I used to be the one on the old sled..then the new sled and then the new
mod sled, but if i pulled up to a herd of riders on one of our old 72 440 tnt's or a 69 single banger....everyone would shut their sled off and heads over to try a bit of old school...it was more fun trying to climb a molehill and i miss it..New sleds take
the rookies to the higher ups and gets them into more trouble than they can handle...unfortunatley this whole sport is about the bling ,,the sound and the
mark..best bet is to run your sled and ignore the puzzle trying to look good...chances are ..he fell into the ( look at me) world..you are a better rider and a better man for doin your thing...

or maybe the guy saw the hill and thought to himself "hey, that looks fun, I'll try it too"

Whats the harm in that? He tried it then left you alone. Perfect. Dont read more into it than there really is.:beer;

If he wants to ride with us he should stop and chat. I could understand if we were on the "big hill" but we weren't. I'm not saying all people who ride new sleds are
d1cks but everyone of them was riding a new sled. If he would have been on one a little older I could have kept up.lol:D

I understand what your saying,,,,,BUT, do you think it is fair for you to deny that guy the pleasure he derives from his ego when he takes that new sled that he spent his hard earned money on and passes a stranger on a hill? Personally I just smile and wave knowing that I just helped a fellow snowmobiler have a great day.

Don't take it so personal ;):beer;

Sounds like you need to get a new sled! It's funny how some people enjoy a little competition and then there are others that hate it when someone else comes along and "plays" in your territory. It's all fun and games till someone does something you can't do. Can you say jealousy?

chill and ride... its an expensive sport.... machines dont matter... its the rider(sometimes). almost anyone could take a brand new sled strait up the hill... but who would want to? but the people I hate the most are the people that get in the way when you are doing your own thing. taking a poke at the hill and someone passing you while your side hilling... dangerous and not to mention dissapointing. I really dont want some hot shot on a brand new 1000 mod sled passing me on an almost vertical hill and me bailing off the sled so i wouldnt get hit...what does he get? to laugh at me and my screwed sled. what do I get? well... a screwed sled.

Sounds to me like someone is envious........just ride what you have and have fun. Forget those others. Who cares what others ride and can climb. I don't.

love the ride!

Aug- you were on here last year piching a fit similar to this one. I understand the one man on a hill rule and avy dangers that are associated when multiple riders end up on one hill at the same time but that dosn't sound like that is your issue today. Don't be a hater. Every one is out to have a good time and have some fun. There will always be some one riding the next big thing. The main thing is that they are not riskin the safety of others on the hill. If these guys were using poor judgement by all means flame on.

Enjoy your time riding the mountains! I got to shovel the driveway in -15 wind chill for an hour today. I would have given my left nut to be busting some pow today!:beer;

Man I seen your other thread too, and you are really disgruntled tonight. Did you buy the wrong sled this year?

Maybe you have a point here I'm just not seeing it? What did these guys do that made you want to pound their heads into their hoods? Climbed a hill on the first try that you were struggling with? Were they being unsafe in the way they did it? You did say you like the competition of seeing who can be the first to the top so why are you p.o.'d?
Please don't flame me I don't like d1cks in the mountains either but they do have the same right to be there that I do as long as they're not putting me in danger, just not sure why these guys are d1cks

Aug pulled a highmark over me in Cooke over a year ago on his Mtn Max and I was on my turbo M7. I held the throttle WOT at the base and it went so out of control I got it stuck about 5' below him while he was diggin out his yammi

Was a good time :D Wouldnt trade that memory for the world

I'm not really sure if you are getting my point. When I say riding by I mean like four feet from me. One of them about made my Dad wreck on the hill.:eek:

Yeah that was impressive when you wheelied over Nate.LOL! The handle bar thing was pretty interesting to. LOL!:D:beer;

hmm..idk what you're talking about, i only ride with a group of about 4 of my buddies or family straight from my house and get the whole mountain to ourselves. but i bet that sucks :rolleyes:

NO excuss for getting in the middle of someones climb but just because you are playing on a hill does'nt mean someone else can't go over it.

Last year we were playing on a long cornice area. We worked that area over for a couple hours and toward the end we saw some guys over on the next ridge watching us. We eventually climbed higher and they went over to where we'd been. We watched them p**syfoot around it, but they were afraid to climb it, and only their alpha male rider tried to jump it (where it was about a 2 or 3 foot drop.) A little later we were chillin right by the wilderness boundary and those guys headed toward us. They were all trying to ride all impressive and stuff, braaping their cans and doing their sweet XP wheelies. They didn't stop and say hi, but just congregated a ways off and then they watched their leader "outclimb" us. He proved his superiority by going past us into the wilderness area and "climbing" along a windpacked ridge that was about as steep as the parking lot.

I guess I feel sorry for people that think they can buy fun, and then they're disappointed when people that don't bring $20K of equipment out to the mountain still have fun and sometimes outride them. So Aug, keep on keepin on and don't let those guys that invade your hill bother you. Try not to get run over by any dicks, and see if you can get a LEGIT highmark on that turbo M7 (I'm thinking that pulling one of his plugwires will do the trick.)
