New nytro for 2010!

looks like a new or re-shaped tunnel, no sway bar, floats and reshaped the seat, improved hand warmers (we will see) -good

maverick track still... BAAAAD.

No offense man but you must be a salesman. When you subtract the price of the new floats from the new shocks that are on it now and the price of the new 162 from the new track that is on it now probably is about $200-300 max difference in the quanity they buy in. Or are they just thowing the new take off shocks and new take off track in the garbage with 0$ value of those parts?

That's exactly what I was thinking. There's no way a manufacturer pays what we would pay for the floats and the track. If the other 3 manufacuters jack their prices up this much I don't know if I'll be able to afford to sled anymore. It's just sad when a sled costs as much as a car and you only get to ride it 4 months out of the year!

I can see maybe spending $12,599.00 if I was getting a stock sled with 280-300 hp, but paying that much for 130 hp just seems silly. I'm not bashing anyone or trying to upset anyone, but it just seems ridiculous that we are expected to shell out that much cash for a sled. Like I said, I sure hope the other manufactuers don't follow this pricing trend, but I'm afraid they might....eventually. JMO so don't be offended. :beer;:beer;:beer;

I wonder if you can order that tail tunnel section and stick it on the older nytros? hmmmm

If you are going retail but your telling me you could sell a take off track and take off shocks for $1800 don't think so!! Yes if you were going to buy a hold over Nytro you would be better off I have my remaining 09's for $8299 so ya that is a no brainer but you know as well as everyone on here that wanted lighter 4-strokes it cost money to make them lighter!!

Prices

PRICES WILL BE CONSIDERABLY HIGHER ON ALL BRANDS THIS YEAR....YOU JUST WAIT...LOL!
Im sure four stroke engines cost a tad bit more than a 2 Smoke.
Sure glad theres more longevity in mine....more money, longer lasting.
RX-1 Mt has very valid points!

My .02

Hey what the heck!

There is no reason why all the sled manufacturers can't get in the same fiasco as the car manufacturers and keep jacking the prices that are all already riduculous even more. If a diesel pickup is $50-$55K US [ridiculous] why not a sled being the same over priced thing and $10-15k. Just wreck the whole market with over priced crap that is really not worth 1/2 what they are asking and maybe the government can bail them out too. The snowmobile market is going to collapse when the buyers all say enough is enough. You can buy a brand new 09 800 pol or doo or cat right now for mid 7k range at dealers in ID like Rexberg. Cat and Polaris just announced big layoffs last week so the %#*@ has already hit the fan in the snowmobile/rvtoy world.

Ya know what snowmobile manufacturers? Why not step up and say it. This could be your best ad and PR campaign ever.

Loyal customers, Times are tough and your money is not going as far anymore. We as a company are tired of sticking it to our customers that work hard for their money. Instead of increasing the price again this year for more smoke and mirror crap we are going to LOWER the price by $1000 on every model sled we sell. Period!! Hope this helps you out as a loyal snowmobile consumer.

Thats what they should do in my opinion.

I cant' get passed the price tag. holy chit!

Not trashing Yami, I'm really hoping that the 4-stroke market can take off without some of us having to spend another $6k for a turbo. Think about this...the Nytro is 130 HP for $12K+!!! That is a lot of money for a sled that won't hang with 800's and bigger. I've ridden and rode with a Nytro and it is not impressive w/o that turbo. For that much (or maybe a tad more), I think we should see a turbo on these things.

I like where they are heading with the Nytro - now maybe next year they can bore & stroke the motor (or come up with a new 1200 trip) that will fit into that chassis and have 160-165hp NA stock.

Then use the valve-train integrated supercharger that they have the patent for on the current 1050 nytro motor for a 190hp mtn masher, for $15-16k USD.

For $16,200 Cndn..........Its gotta have a pump gas turbo on it and at least 200hp? Wouldn't you think??$16200:eek:WTF? it aint worth a penny over $12900 CNDN for the 130hp 162

That's it?!?

I rode a stock Apex for two seasons and I liked the sled. I was just wasn't big enough to horse that monster around. So I jumped ship this season to ride an M7, hoping that Yamaha will come out with a good mountain sled in 2010. I really disappointed with what they came out with!!! I just can't buy a heavy, underpowered sled for +12k! It looks like Team Meow has a new member. ;)

BTW: I love the M7! Not the most powerful sled, but boy it's fun to ride.
