Fox coil vs Raptor vs Exit

I have a brand new Pro RMK 850 and am looking for a suspension upgrade. I usually just habe Gas Shock Repair revalve the stock shocks for me but I'm looking for a better set up. I'm 250lbs. geared up with tunnel bag and am wondering what's the best way to go between Fox coil, Raptor, and Exit shocks?

I'm 250lbs+ with gear and have had both fox coils on my 2022 850 and fox airs on my 2020 850, I am currently waiting on fox airs for my 9R as for me the tuning adjstability was much easier and I could dial them in perfectly for my style of riding. I have a riding buddy that had the exits in his 9R and after a few rides sold them and went to the airs as well he is 260 geared up, I rode the exits as well and they are a great improvment over the OEM shocks but a bit of a process to adjust where as the fox coils are much better and easier. my personal experience riding both the fox style shocksand a limited time on the exits I would rate them #1 fox air, #2 fox coils and #3 exits

I'm 260 before any gear so I'm not light, been running Raptor shocks for a few years now. Won't go another direction. Multi-zone internal bypass, multi rate springs, crazy about of rebond and compression adjustment. You can also ask for single rate springs depending on your style.

Thank you for the input. I've always been scared of air shocks. I'm leaning towards the Raptor or Fox Coil as of now.

I've run Exit shocks and fox coil. I liked both of them. The exit shocks, are definitely beefy shocks and can take a pounding, but I'm sticking with the fox, because I like the option of locking the rear shock and the simplicity of the coil shocks. I also like the price of the coil shocks. You have a extra $200-500 that you can spend on your sled

I have been running Raptors Kinetics for 5yrs now on 3 different sleds and have no complaints. Order them setup for your weight and tweak them to your liking from there.

I've had issues with air forks on dirt bikes leaking. But it sounds like Fox does have the air shocks pretty dialed in over the last few years.

I also like the lock out idea with the fox coil shocks but I don't know how they will do with my loaded weight of 250lbs.?

I'm sure they make a spring for your weight. Fix, ice age, or burandt will send you in the right direction, or the spring you need

How do the Fox coil shocks compare to the Raptor overall?
From what I've heard, or read. I would say that raptors are better than the fox coil-shocks. When it comes to the fox air vs Raptors, it comes down to personal preference. You have a lot more adjubility with Raptor and air., so it depends on how much you want to spend and how much adjubility you want and if you want coil, or air. Lock out or if that doesn't matter.

Fox coil is going to be 3-4 lbs lighter than any raptor setup, and has rear track shock lockout for the deep days. Can't speak on the ride but the FOX invented the internal bypass helical groove setups for their trophy truck program, and in my opinion have perfected it. Floats over the whoops. I'm a fan of the 3-position compression adjustment over anything with 12+ clicks - too fiddly. If I wanted to fiddle like that I would get air shocks.

I run them as well and love them. Super buttery yet never bottom out.
