Muff pott on arctic cat

Folks,

I purchased a Muff Pott for my wifes 2005 Arctic Cat Pantera 550. (Why should she get a break from the kitchen )) Anyway, I installed it on the Muffler and after an hour riding the food was only a little bit warm. Can someone offer suggestions as to where the best place to mount it is?
