Mt Baker riders/locals, need a favor

The Cat would not be broken down there....it would not have made it in the way we went! I actually traded a Apex for the Doo, the Apex would have to wait for the spring thaw!! Gawddamn that thing was heavy!

Winterbrew- how many takers you got for helping you outta that hole right now? Is the plan somtime on Saturday morning still???

Have 6-8 guys and sleds. Have an assortment of stuff to drag it out. If you will be up there I'm sure an extra hand or ideas is always helpful, but don't go out of your way or let it ruin a good day of riding! I think the biggest thing will be packing a hiway and finding the easiest path out. Probably put something under the track and 2 sleds side-by-side 50-100ft in front using 1 rope.
I appreciate any help you give. :beer;

I've been having a few conversations about getting sleds outta holes or steep longer climbs and the "chainsaw wench" seems to be one of the easiest/safest way to get a sled out of along steep hill...

Agreed, the first thing will be too pack down a nice smooth trail, especially the day before if anyone up ther eon Friday...

What a stellar week its been at Mt. Baker; weve had more than 30 inches of new snowfall since Monday! Forecasts are calling for continued moderate snowfall over the next few days, with freezing levels staying below 2,000 feet. Winter is going out like a lion, so forget about the other spring sports and come on up and enjoy the snow!

I love these reports

We've done it numerous times out of places the chopper wont go with a chainsaw winch I carry one in the truck always, along with a chainsaw.Sounds like you've got plenty of help though. Ill be up tommorrow. You might want to wait for better snow conditions though, its pretty deep right now. Let me know if I can be of any help Paul

If he wants to be at the shootout on the 5th--he needs to get the sled out to get fixed ASAP. It will be a bit more workl for sure in these conditions--but it can be done with the right equipment.

your going to need to groups, one to dig it out and one to pull it out!!!!LOL

from the ski resort:
What an incredible week its been at Mt. Baker, with more than 45 inches of new snowfall since Sunday, and temperatures very cold for the end of March! Forecasts are calling for continued moderate snowfall today and Saturday, with possible clearing on Sunday, and freezing levels staying below 1,000 feet

Yeah got snorkel, Winter Brew I think you better say hell with getting it out and get a loaner to ride!! It gonna take half a tank a gas to get there!!! Unless graveler brings that mighty M7 to break trail for us all!! Maybe he could just pull it for you too :)

Good luck, hope you get it out. A buddy and me were up there yesterday, and theres about 3ft new @ the knob, with zero visibility. Pretty sure it snowed all night up there, its snowing in birdsview now. Would like to help but have to work.

So who is in on the 1st annual Winter Brew Tow Out? It will be a good time had by all. It will be a great time just getting to the sled. Come on up Graveler and Fordman and anybody who else likes it deep and challenging.

I'm not sure I should let Graveler borrow my sled again for the weekend....

If we went up there, the sled would be out in 10 minutes....then what would you do with your time?

If you can get it out that fast--Winterbrew is offered good money for that--get up there early and have it sitting at Hood Hill for him--collect the $$$$$.

I want to see this!!

After that we can play Follow the leader, with a Cat in the lead we should have no problem making tracks all over the mountain. Us fools on Ski Doon'ts can just try to follow in your tracks. Can't wait.

I'll be lucky to make it to the campground riding the XP....watch for driveshafts littering the road.

With all the fresh just finding the sled could turn into a "Wheres Waldo" situation....:beer;

Maybe sell tickets for $500 each, once 20 are sold fire the starting gun for finders keepers....:P
