I agree. I have lots of great friends that are in construction. I wasnt trying to knock construction. I was trying to make a point, that if your job doesnt require communication, reading, writing, computer skills, math, ect than you will be easily replaced by someone else,
Umm the last time I checked construction does take a little bit of math skills, and logic thinking. Basic math isn't going to cut it either, as just a normally employee you'd better know how to do geometry to figure out all of your angles. And if you didn't you wouldn't be working for me, because i wouldn't be their to tell you how to do every damn thing. And especial if you don't speak English, how would some one tell you what to do? So i think construction isnt a job for the high school drop out, or the ILLEGAL who can barely spell his own dang name.(Figuratively speaking, cause i don't own a business.)
