Mds weights on newer adapt

Are any of you guys with 23 or 24M sleds running adapts? I bought a set for a low elevation sled 2 years back. My clutch was revision D with a March of 22 date code. These weights would hit the rollers and basically made the clutch engaged even when off. Just seeing if anyone else had this issue or if maybe the weights have since been changed.

I feel maybe on the 1st edition adapt there could have been more roller to weight clearance. Being all of the adapts from 22-24 were 0746-933. They should have all been built the same.

On the Team roller primary the trail sleds had the spider shimmed differently than the mountain sleds. Would engage at idle with the MDS weights as you describe. Adapt might be the same but IDK for sure.

I have noticed on the earlier adapts, you get alot of weight chatter from the rollers causing premature wear on the heel of the weight.

Had the same issue last spring. I had purchased an adapt version D clutch and had picked up a set of MDS weights for a spare set up. Would hold the clutch closed to the point it would not allow belt to drop all the way down to the roller. Spoke to Steve about the issue. He had just dealt with a few others doing the same thing. He had me just trim the web on the moveable sheive to allow it to open up. Trimmed away on the webs to the point clutch would fully open. Not sure if this raised the engagement RPM much as it tucked the weights back a fair amount. Have never installed on sled to test. I did send clutch out and had balance checked after being in trimming aluminum away. Tested out well under max spec and no balancing was needed.

I have a 22 that came stock with the adapt and I am running the suggested set of Dalton adjustables with no issues. I’m not convinced that they are the best profile necessarily, but they are not hanging up or acting abnormally at all.
