Matryx boost fuel pump

Isn't the fuel tank vent only one way? I thought it had a check valve for out only "Vent". If not a Dirt Bike tank vent check would solve that for cheap. If this is the case.

Can't be 1-way. Need to let air into the tank so it doesn't create a vacuum.

The dirtbike vent caps are a gravity check valve. They stay open until they're tipped too far. Keep gas from spilling but let's air in when it's upright.

Has there been any confirmation that the warranty fuel pumps (and pickups) from Polaris are different and will last?

I’m getting a new one under warranty and wanted to be sure they are not just putting the same thing back in and I don’t have the same problem next winter

As near as I can ascertain, they are putting in a new pump assy if your pump is damaged, if not they are only putting in the 2 new filter socks and checking the pressure and sending it out so you will be able to do the testing for them next season to see if they have fixed it.

I think it should be good. My pump was whining alot, put a new filter on with 30 micron and it stopped whining

Sounds like I am getting the entire assembly. Pump and pickup. Crazy price I’d hate to buy one not under warranty . $900

That said I’ll assume the pickup will be new style and hopefully pump also if there were any changes

My buddy had a new polaris pump put in his matryx by a dealer 3 days before a 3 day trip to the box Y. New pump failed on day 1.

It is pretty shocking that some kinked throttle cables and/or incorrect stack tolerance in the throttle flipper caused a recall/warranty issue, but hundreds (thousands?) of matryx fuel pumps are whining and failing, and still, Polaris has done nothing formal to address the issue.

Which leads me to question:
- Does Polaris not know of an effective long term fix?
- Does Polaris not have the materials/pumps available to fix everyone's because of supply chain problems?
- Does Polaris not want to fix the problem under warranty because they want to kick the can long enough that everyone does their own solution, which somehow voids future warranty coverage?

Hopefully we know sooner than later what the actual mass solution will be. Sucks.

Safety issue vs run ability issue.

Getting sued vs sleds needing fixed.

Guessing since 2022 sleds are still shipping out? Your second premise sounds likely……..

Polaris is busy still shipping last year's sleds. My dealer got some delivered last week.

They are probably working on a fix for the 2023s.

I too have fixed the whine with fuel socks from Oreillys, same socks suugested by TRS.

Has anyone bypassed the black box and set the fuel system up like a Axys system.
Just installed 3x8 holley Hydra mat. Cut the bottom of black box off . Filter is now totally immersed in fuel.
Fuel gauge remains intact and fuel from back filter still dumps on hydra mat. See how it goes next ride out.
