M8 vs Summit

You probably don't understand the announcer b'cause it's french but this is the open class, nothing is stock here, the M8 was turboed and the XP was a 800 ported with a bottle.

^^^^^^^^^^WOW^^^^^^^^^^^^ Thats an original post!!!! No wonder you have over 2000 posts, pretty easy to just say the same moronic phrase in every thread.
X2 These posters are a waste of space you get them on every site.

What impressed me the most about that vid, turbo or not is the fact the cat and doo were dead even off the start. I've seen stock doos get a 20 ft jumps on most turbos. Not in this case.

Funny you say that because that is exactly what I experienced last year when I was riding in colorado with chris. I drag raced against his turbo M8 with my XP and pulled him off the line for about 30 yards and then he blew my doors off:) The next day I raced against one of his 2010 demos and spanked it . . . stayed about one or two lengths ahead of him. The 2010 cats are damn impressive though . . guess thats why I bought one:)

That doesn't have to be a turbo to do that...

My stock 09 M8 is faster in that kind of snow then my 08 XP.. but you can run up that hill with a 122" track..

The difference will be in the deep. Turbo cats run great, wish I could afford one for my M.. The XP is better in the steep and deep, the cat better on the sidehills and in the trees...

If the cat comes up in power and solves some of the rear suspension problems over the bumps the the XP will have a real run for it's money as the best all around sled.

if your a roll and go rider the doo is defiantly not the sled for you, unless you like to work twice as hard. now if your a point and shoot climber...

That is just a hill, go climb a mountain

That pic is really lame. If you had to turn out on that, you need to give up on riding. My kid climbs steeper on his z-120 LOL:D

Granted, hills are always steeper than the appear in photos, but I had my a$$ handed to me by 09 cats in the steep and deep and the 2010's have 20 more ponies under the hood . . . sooooo I DONT THINK SO

i would like to ride with some of guys in the steep and deep or hillclimb:beer;.
iam trying to see what some of you talking about:confused: the guys i ride ride with have all brands of sleds and well iam not impressed with any cat or polairs or the big tank yamahas .sure the xp had there problems at first with 08s but what sled hasn't. yamaha needs a turbo to go up and over and the cat needs more power just to stay with xp and polaris well i guess they can sidehill to make it up:D:eek: and we are talking right out of the box. its hard to belive what people say on here but, i know what i seen last season. my first new sled was an 09 xp 154 and i did have other sleds before this but i felt with the other sleds it was like old school riding:eek:. but whatever we all can go on and on about this same subject. just my opinion, ok i just whant to ride already:D

well i ride whatever sled that is running at any given time. im out on snow 5- to 7 days a week all winter. if your a good rider you can get a 600 to places that other people cant get there turboed sleds to. anyways i have rode all of the new sleds , and i am not caught up on any paticular sled. the 2010 cat i rode killed the new xp , and dragon. I personally like the handleing of the dragon better , but that cat really ran strong. The new xp that i rode was also chewing through belts ,so im sure with some more money spent on clutching you could make it run better. The xp is a really good trail sled and jumper much better than the cat in my opinion . These were all brand new stock sleds with nothing done straight from the dealer.

Funny story. Went riding today with someone I met off snowest. He has an 09 XP. Sum up the story after riding my 2010 m8 he's gonna sell his xp and buy an m8. I tell you what though I don't know how you XP riders handle those sleds. I tried tipping one over and it was ridiculously hard! but to each their own. If you can maneuver one of those sleds more power to ya! LOL

Check out what he said. Post #27
