Whent up on Friday and it was the best ride I have had this year. Snow was good no breakage and was total blue bird day. Have fun this weekend on the primrose ice chute.
I just need to find a camera guy. LOL .
Got some decent shots on the Hawk forum but nothing this year. I just need to find a camera guy. LOL . And it was nice meeting you guys also.
Did you go in from Primrose?
How does the snowhawk do in those icy chutes?!
buy my gas and i'll take enough high quality pics to last you a couple years
Great riding with adrenilin and nelsonr1 on friday, the snow was good, the skies were blue, and I wasn't at work.
It was fun watching what those Hawks would do, first time I've ever seen one in action! Pretty impressive. Who was the guy on the XP that did the 1/2 mile side hill from your group!

I was quite impressed when I saw what you were riding when you pulled up to your group!!
I was on the black M8 sitting by your group and my son was on the M7 that was jumbing below us.
SORRY FOR THE DRIFT!
Fridays ride was a blast, thanks for the invite AKM7. That ride up the Firehouse trail wasn't much fun but once we got up top it made it all worth it. Thise Snowhawks were impressive adn that XP made a nice line alongside that mountain. Hope we get some more snow soon so we can do this one again! Next time we can try Primrose trail.
Primrose was brutal, especially at the end of the day, the woops got like three feet deep. Not sure which blows more the Firehouse luge, or Primrose beating...
Then again look at the trails in the backgrond of this pic....it could be worse, note the mud/slush on his rails.
Went in Snug Harbor yesterday. Trail in good shape. Snow about 6" on Snug side not wind blown yet. got deeper as we went to Seward side. Dropped off into trees above south end Kenai Lake looking at bridge before Primrose Rd. All I can say is WOW. Deep snow, blue bird sky, 20ish temp. One of the best days I've ever spent at Lost Lake. If you are into climbing, perfect conditions on all mountains. Snow is flat about 6-12" most climbs we made, nothing hard to hit, perfect. Piont and go, turn out when air gets thin and vision narrows. Had a blast blowing thru drifts, all soft yesterday. Watch out for holes, be safe. Talked to people that went to lake and they said just got deeper closer to Seward. Pin it to win it. Will post a vid later of morning climb. What program to edit .avi files for youtube?
