Lost Lake?

A few pics from Friday, had a really good day despite losing 3 of our 6 guys to mechanical and sickness issues. But we continued on our day, and what a great day it was.

they do better then any sled ive seen go up it lol but those 2 hill billys make those things look so easy made me work to keep up with them !!! had to surrender my fuel for them but it was worth it =)

i got some pics and a couple vids but it was with a 12.1 MP camera so each pic is like 20+ MB and a 30 sec vid is like 80MB , i dont know how to shrink them or i would post them up =(

if i were you ide take icr up on his offer , gas is cheap to take some really nice pics =)

Great riding with adrenilin and nelsonr1 on friday, the snow was good, the skies were blue, and I wasn't at work. Finally made it a full day with no breakage. Still got some tuning to do on the new motor, still about 500rpm short of peak, but it'll come.

Bgreen776, as far as the ice chute's, the hawks do alright ( sheet metal screws in the paddles works wonders) , its pretty brutal on the body trying to herd them up that skinny trail but it's worth it when you get to the good stuff. Both of us have a good 5 seasons on the Hawks now and we make it look easier than it is. I sure wouldn't take a new rider up there, but then again I don't think I would take a newbee sledder up there either.

buy my gas and i'll take enough high quality pics to last you a couple years

ArcticMan, we'll be there monday through sunday this year. That way I won't have to buy you gas, cause you'll already be there. LOL
I'll have plenty of Captain Morgans to share when we get back to camp for payment.

It was fun watching what those Hawks would do, first time I've ever seen one in action! Pretty impressive. Who was the guy on the XP that did the 1/2 mile side hill from your group!:beer;:beer;

wish i woulda passed the camera off so someone could have got a pic of that , i took some pictures of my track i left but it dont do it justice :(

Friday was a great day of riding. Great weather, warm, little wind and was able to ride all the way up Firemans without having to tug on any sleds. Found a lot of untracked powder that was ruined by the end of the day.

I was quite impressed when I saw what you were riding when you pulled up to your group!!:D
I was on the black M8 sitting by your group and my son was on the M7 that was jumbing below us.

SORRY FOR THE DRIFT! :o

Fridays ride was a blast, thanks for the invite AKM7. That ride up the Firehouse trail wasn't much fun but once we got up top it made it all worth it. Thise Snowhawks were impressive adn that XP made a nice line alongside that mountain. Hope we get some more snow soon so we can do this one again! Next time we can try Primrose trail.

Primrose was brutal, especially at the end of the day, the woops got like three feet deep. Not sure which blows more the Firehouse luge, or Primrose beating...
Then again look at the trails in the backgrond of this pic....it could be worse, note the mud/slush on his rails.

WTF!? Trails.jpg

Went in Snug Harbor yesterday. Trail in good shape. Snow about 6" on Snug side not wind blown yet. got deeper as we went to Seward side. Dropped off into trees above south end Kenai Lake looking at bridge before Primrose Rd. All I can say is WOW. Deep snow, blue bird sky, 20ish temp. One of the best days I've ever spent at Lost Lake. If you are into climbing, perfect conditions on all mountains. Snow is flat about 6-12" most climbs we made, nothing hard to hit, perfect. Piont and go, turn out when air gets thin and vision narrows. Had a blast blowing thru drifts, all soft yesterday. Watch out for holes, be safe. Talked to people that went to lake and they said just got deeper closer to Seward. Pin it to win it. Will post a vid later of morning climb. What program to edit .avi files for youtube?

I think we met in the Snug parking lot that day. You riding the blue/yellow doo? I was with another Pol and one Cat. We were the last ones out that day-it was awesome-outta gas before outta daylight.
