does anyone know how big exactly the snug harbor parking lot is? i heard they've made it bigger. big enough to turn around a 30 foot trailer?
First Epic Ride of the Winter
Rode LL today on a whim and it was over the handle bars all day. Really strange because there were only 4 trucks in the parking lot and the entire place was ours which is a first. We tried our best to track the place out, but there's still tons of deep pow . Also, it took only 7 min to get up the trail to the top...

It's huge.... You might see cars parked on left hand side, where everybody used to park. Keep going, the new parking lot is on your right shortly after that.

We went up Fireman's yesterday (Monday) and had blue bird skies until about 3 and then the clouds moved in. We rode until 6 boondocking through the trees on the seward side and had a BLAST!

Firemans is an ice shoot! You will need lots of momentum to blast up or at least 2-3 buddies to help pull through the slick spots. I would not do it again unless I knew there was some fresh snow to make it worth it
If I was going to Lost lake again and it was SUNNY I would go up Snug.restart the thread

Rode thursday Snug
The road was sanded to chugach gate then not to the new parking lot had to chain up but made it in. flat light but high over cast low on snow all the way over to ll but sun came out off and on the snow has settled but was good to tear up should be better in the valleys and over to the seward side in the valleys. the road will ice up if stays warm.
