They got about 2 inches at sea level sunday night, then it turned to rain. It was probably still snowing on the hill but I don't know if it'd be enough for me to risk that trail again...

It was 42* outside today, rained yesterday. No snow visible in the trees from town to the tree line. Not sure how it's holding up higher up, but it is like friggin SPRING down here

I suppose I could open my freezer and try, at least I could pay the electric bill with all the money I am saving on heating oil
I really would like to be able to get a good ride in this year....It's not looking like it's gonna be at LL though, sheesh. At this rate I will be putting up the sled and getting the boat back out next month!!!
FYI, it hasn't gotten any colder, it was mostly clear today and still warm

We went up to the Sherwood forest today and found some decent snow and untracked valleys. I did not know they made a new parking lot at the end of Snuggy, very nice! The trail was okay, not any new snow. I would not recommend going up to the LOST lake until we get another dump.

Forecast is calling for more warm temps, but it looks like they are supposed to start dipping down.....would be better for the higher altitude. Also calling for more precip, will be great if it's snow and not rain.....Fireman's can't handle anymore rain, that trail really bites right now...... I can't afford to tear my sled up just getting up the hill (ripped off a lug or two last Sunday).
We really need some colder temps to get winter "started"...... sounds like the same story pretty much all over from what I've been hearin, unless you happen to find some untracked, or really know where to go

Thanks! I know al you guys would have gave me a hand. The info on the otter sled was all the help i needed, just wished they would have mentioned taking it out coming down the chute!!!!

me and a few friends went up to lost lake today up primrose. the trail was suprisingly better then last weekend. there were 7 of us and we got to the lake in under 25 minutes. the light was good up there but the snow wasnt anything to brag about.

No problem, could see the storm hangin over the bay....they said maybe snow tonight/tomorrow....
Now hopefully I can get the sled going.....checked compression tonight

It is snowing as we speak. 3 inches in town so far today, very light in town right now (was coming down really good a few hours ago) but almost looks like a blizzard by LL.....all the trees are white again!!
Well.....it stopped snowing in town at about 3.5", and doesn't look like snow by the mountains....but they are calling for another 3-4" tomorrow.....so we might end up with a foot-ish up top......
Now if I can just get my top end redone soon
Chugach avy center reports 6" to 10" at primrose and 6" to 12" at firemans. Any kind soul have an eyeball report?
