looking for christian snowmobilers

we blew it up

We Have been attending RRC Red Rocks Church now for about a year now And we are snowmobilers. God has blessed us with these toys and we extremely enjoy his beutifull creations in the Rocky mountains here in CO. We would like to get together with other christian snowmobilers this winter and have fun being in gods world with fellow believers.

his request is simple and straight forward...the only real response to his post is...hey l would love to ride with you guys....otherwise if not nothing needed to be said...his post got hijacked..next time lets leave it simple and let it work for those interested....

Amen............a bunch of you fella's sure got offended pretty easily. You must be Democrats and ride Artic Cats! That's a joke, but I'm sure it too will get blown out of proportion:cool:

Dont tell me religion is just about worship, brotherhood and eternal peace. It's also about building your ranks. This is a fact.
More people in history have died in the name of religion than ANY other cause
-wow that sure makes me glad I'm not Religous!!!!

Boys it's not all the church telling you what to do, or the pope or whoever. It's a personal relationship with the big JC and God. I duck out of church all the time for other things, but I do understand God(not the preacher) tells me and wants me to fellowship with others....kinda like the dude wants to do without preaching.

Often times the most effective and easiest way to "preach" to others is to say nothing at all and let your actions and life do the talking.

Man this is shaping up to be as good as the last Mormon thread with Mak and horn honking!

somewhere over the rainbow this thread got severly hijacked ....why can't a dood ask for riding buddies on a 4m ....those that don't wish to respond in an intulectual and respective manner to the said topic should likewise refrain and move on .....

and we wonder why our society has hit the fast track to hell ...no punn intended ..

Ok, here’s my story. I went to church every Sunday played trumpet in the brass section and was spending quite a lot of time there. One week the Pastor asked if I had a particular tool and when I said yes he asked if he could borrow it. When he came to the house I was working on my sled and he seemed in a hurry so I gave him the tool and he left. The NEXT Sunday this is what he said during his sermon. “I don’t know how much a new snowmobile is but I think a person should give that money to Missions rather than buying a new snowmobile.” That was around 5 years ago and I haven’t been back to church since.

Ditto. I have customers who are christian bikers and also a girlfriend who is a christian. Nothing wrong with that. I just tell them up front that my halo is a little tilted, so prepare for it. Nothing wrong with this topic being started. capen4, let me appologize if we offend you.
-ride on-

thats exactly why we don't do church ..everybody fingers that they have the answer ........we the wife and I and the 4 kids know the answer and thats all there is too that .........

keep on truckin

Why does it matter if your "christian" or not? If you're a nice person, contributing to society, you can ride with me anyday.

Some of the "christians" I know carry this elitiest attitude, which I have no time for.

IMO...do the right thing and it shouldn't matter what you do or don't believe in. :beer;

Off topic, there are some good christian rock songs out there. I find myself tuning to the christian rock station while cruising on my Harley. I respect christians for their space as long as they allow me mine. We get along just fine. I would have no problem riding with christian sledders. Just have to sway my humor a little off track from normal, that's all.
SOmething I had to get used to was the strong christian ethics when I was racing down south around the bible belt. A lot of these places had christian radio stations playing over the PA system while we were in the pits.

some people just don't get it

If you're not a Christian, then you have NO reason to be posting to this thread. If you don't have anything good to say, keep your remarks to yourself. This guy is simply looking to ride with people who have the same beliefs that he does. Not too uncommon!!

Yes, I believe in God and I love to ride & yes these two things do clash with one another. I want to ride, but I also want to go to church. Most people who ride love to swear, drink, smoke, chew, party.... you get my point. I, personally, have no problem riding with these people and as long as they keep their personal opinions to themselves, so will I.

wow - religion and politics - some of you are pretty closed-minded.... just because folks don't believe the way you do, or believe in something that you don't, you feel they are trying to "reform you" or you call them stupid....

This is getting sticky. Good thing he didn't ask to ride with other Doo riders. Or guys with 151" tracks. My buddy up there in the "Yukon" nailed it on the head........no wonder this country is going to hell. Everybody wants the Christians to "respect" their opinions, but the minute a believer asked for like minded people to ride with, the "tolerators" change their tune. You guys need to take it if you plan on dishing it out. As for the dude with the preacher story about the sled, stay far away from that "place". Now please, if you don't want to ride with this guy DON'T!!!!

well said...the personal relationship with Jesus and God is what salvation is about....churches and religion often prevent the true message(Lucifers intention)...Christ is not religion..and His church was the only true church..

I'm glad you got that!!! My mind was going "bonkers". My hands didn't organize my thoughts very well.........but you get the picture:)

THis is a problem. My dad was a Pastor for several years so I understand how working out of the pulpit goes. When a Pastor takes it upon himself to judge how and where a persons money should go and does it from the pulpit I believe he has stepped out of line. I feel sad in your case that you were turned off by what was apersonal attack......The pastor should preach what the bible teaches on tithing and then each persons own convictions will guide them. I've been to many churches over the years and yes there are jerks and judgemental types.....some more then others just as there are in ANY group of people. I would hope that your experience does not lead you to believe that all churches are like this.........but I totally get how you felt and why you stopped going.

I've been reading this thread............and I do agree that cap just wanted to find peeps of like faith to ride with and in explaining himself after getting flamed. He got flamed some more. I think you gotta have a thick skin to run in here sometimes or lay low.....:face-icon-small-coo Passion is Passion whether its for your faith or your hobby or your work.......comes in all forms.

It is sad that so many peeps have had encounters with "elitist" types. A group is usually judged by the most extreme of the group....
I used to show horses and you want to talk ELITE....good grief..all that looking down your nose if some one didnt have the right truck or trailer or bloodline....one reason I stopped showing..........Elitists think they got it together and they are the ones usually missing out. I think I'm rambling now......hahahaha I'll stop now......lol

Hey whats the big deal anyway. Ride with the guy if he starts saying something you dont like just rev your motor and point to your helmet ears :D

ps- those who have responded negatively to this thread, what would your reply be to a thread seeking drinking buddies to ride with???

I never thought we would get such interest in a thread like this.
Like myself and other people have said I'm looking for other believers who ride and any one is invite to ride with us. I'm not going to preach to you at 10,000. I'm in the mountains to enjoy the day and the people I'm riding with no matter who it is or what day it is or what they believe.

If were riding and we stop for a break And you ask I would answer any questions you have about Jesus and god to the best of my ability. I have yet to even take a bible with me on a trip.
Last time i rode it was kind of hard to talk to someone that was climbing up a hill or when we were running 70 down the trial.

My actions aren't perfect sometimes but I try to live my life the way that Jesus did.
Cool. Well, since nobody's said it yet, i guess i'll ride with ya. I'm out in the littleton area. As long as the ego:faith proportion stays in check, i'm good. But start pushing religion on me and you'll see a side of me very few people get to see.

Amen............a bunch of you fella's sure got offended pretty easily. You must be Democrats and ride Artic Cats! That's a joke, but I'm sure it too will get blown out of proportion:cool:
aaaahahaha, nice :D

+1. IMO; how you act, behave, and your actions are what shows who you are as a person; not what belief you follow or what god(s) you choose to worship. As I mentioned before, I'm comfortable with my beliefs, i'm old enough to make my own decisions and choose my own path in life. Mine happens to be a different path than what most major religions teach. Does that make me a "bad" person? Let's ride and we'll find out.
